With the nice creepy visuals and atmospheric sound, I was excited for this one. Unfortunately it's not currently playable for me. The game is text only (even though the store page lists English audio), but the text is barely readable and doesn't look at all like the screenshots. It's translucent and appears to be overly pixelated and then scaled up into blurry shapes. There are no resolution or graphic options, so you're just stuck trying to decipher what is even happening. Once you select a dialogue option, the selection pops back up to the first question so that you have to scroll down from the top for every single response. This is a small issue but got tedious very quickly. When talking to the first character, I accidentally hit the left/right buttons, and the game switched back to the walking view. The player character's walk animation no longer played when moving, but instead his static image would glide along the screen. I tried to start a new game, but this time the conversation displayed options for things I hadn't yet asked, as well as blank lines between a few dialogue options. I encountered the same issue on two separate computers, that have no problems running thin…3 found this helpful
The game is fairly interestin' from the get go. The story revolves around us as a detective tryin' to figure the truth behind a missing woman in an odd hotel. I like the stylized graphics here. I do, however, think the game could do with more sound effects, ambient music, voice over work, use of mouse etc. Even talkin' to the NPCs is not fluid since the cursors disappears most of the time when selecting a dialogue choice. As a result, you would have to escape the conversation then reengage. It gets rather annoyin'. Also the price point is a bit steep. It's askin' for too much at 18 bucks. Should be around 12 bucks max imo. With all that bein said, I am intrigued enough to continue the mystery. I'll give it a thumb up due to the premise. May wanna wait for sale otherwise.
