✦ AI summary
Players praise Neon Runner's stylish Tron-like aesthetics, responsive controls, satisfying ball physics, and chill electronic soundtrack with solid difficulty progression. However, the main criticism is that the game is extremely short at around 12 minutes of content, making the $5 price point difficult to justify—players feel it plays more like a brief mobile game experience than a full PC title, though some would return for additional handcrafted maps and accessibility options like reduced bloom intensity.
Believe it or not I don't like writing negative reviews. I sometimes go out of my way to try and justify a reason for recommending some things even if they are pretty basic in their delivery. This isn't even a terrible game, it's just not much of a game at all. And then to have an asking price of $5 it can't justify the price tag. Curious? It's almost slow and relaxing compared to high difficulty racing/running games. If you wanted slow and relaxing, this might have been OK if it were long enough to relax with, but it doesn't even do that right. You get nei…3 found this helpful
Fun arcade runner, would love to see some author made maps for people who have completed the initial levels. some really cool traps only showed up once or twice so a handmade difficult map would bring me back. also some settings for bloom intensity/ visual accessibility, I got used to in over time but it was intense.3 found this helpful
Tron Aesthetics meets Swoop bike racing from KOTOR with more responsive controls and dope music. - Nice difficulty progression. I'm not very good at racing games but this got me...1 found this helpful
Best ball simulator I've ever played
Short and sweet. Looks great and love the music and and the chilled-out vibes. Would love more levels that are more challenging like the last one.
