In the world of Nex Machina, humans have become so dependent on technology that they cannot avert their eyes from portable devices anymore. Around them, machines have reached consciusness and surpassed human intelligence tenfold. No reasons to be servants now – robots are clearly the superior lifeform. Absolute banger of a twin stick shooter. Things get really hectic when you try to juggle finding secret humans, extra level entrances and dash bonuses, and you're trying to get your extra weapon of choice on top of everything else on screen trying to kill you and your humans.6 found this helpful
If you enjoyed other Housemarque games like Alienation, Resogun, or Matterfall then you will enjoy this game. It is the same frenetic yet readable arcade based gameplay that you loved in those other games. Usually on sale, this is certainly worth a go.
One of the best arcade games ever made. God tier gameplay, addictive, deep scoring mechanics and the most fast fluid movement and shooting of any game. A sensational game in every aspect and Housemarques best game. The blueprint for Returnal and Saros can be found within Nex Machina.
Fun gameplay but you'll play through all the levels in about two hours. So unless you really want to play the same levels over over again (which is fine - some people enjoy high-score chasing), wait until it goes on sales.
