✦ AI summary
Players appreciate the game's foundational roguelike mechanics and character variety, but criticize numerous quality control issues including stat display inconsistencies, broken door transitions, and even spelling errors in the game's own title. The weapon and upgrade systems feel underwhelming and lack meta progression, leading to the consensus that while the game has potential, it needs significant polish before being worth the asking price.
There are plenty of issues that really should have been caught by even cursory playtesting before going into Early Access. Player stats are different from menu to in the game, sometimes the rooms just won't transition when you walk through doors, end of room triggers happen before the end of the room, even the name of the game is inconsistently spelled in the game. Apart from that, no meta upgrade system (yet at least), seems like a good amount of characters but fairly standard weapon and upgrade selection (gun, turret, orbital, freeze aura, damage aura) and they all feel lacklustre. This is a wait and see game, it has the bones of the genre but this is too early for Early Access especially for $5 aud.
