Nobody - The Turnaround takes place in a parallel world similar to our current reality. The story unfolds in a modern metropolis, but not the concrete jungle as you know it. It's more about the undergrowth, the much less glamorous neighborhoods where actual life happens.
“You” are one of the ordinary “Nobodies” in this world. You do not have a distinguished family background, elite education, or once-in-a-lifetime business opportunities. However, through hard work and determination, you might eventually get rid of your troubles and make your way in this realistic society.

Abandoned at release, supposedly the communists in China don't like their country being portrayed as anything other than a high tech, futuristic, socialist utopia. Shame as it could have been a really good game, but fragile Chinese authoritarians spoilt it.9 found this helpful
Nobody – The Turnaround is one of the best urban survival games I’ve played. The game does a great job capturing the struggle of starting with nothing and trying to build a stable life. The debt story mode and even the challenge mode were fun, and they made me just want more. It’s tough, but in a rewarding way where every small improvement actually feels earned. There are very few urban survival games that balance that harsh struggle with such a good gameplay loop. It’s a shame the game was removed from the store and never fully finished. There were clearly bigger systems and ideas planned that we’ll probably never get to see. What’s left is still a great experience—but it also feels like a glimpse of what could have been.3 found this helpful
