A true 1994 retro classic... with flaws. An interactive mature graphic novel Point and Click adventure with cheesy FMV clips. It´s a cool concept and it actually isn´t that bad. There is only a few things that you have to know. The control is nowhere near Lucas Arts or Sierra Levels. But you get along somehow. From time to time it can be frustrating. In the options menu ingame you can change the language. But spoken or acted dialogue still stay english. I remember in my old German edition there also was German Speech. Okay it was meeeh, but it was there. But Nightdive ad least added as much localized Text as possible. And a graphic filter. So you can dig into a courageous project from back then. But you really should consider to wait for a sale. Nowadays 9,99 maybe is a bit much for that game. Wait for a sale. You can get the game for less than 2 Bucks. And that´s okay. There are a few extras: A PDF Comic Book and a Guidebook. Which is pretty useful nowadays.
Fun nostalga trip on how old games worked. Either pull your hair out or get a walkthought guide. Still entertaining.
recommendation: save, save, save and all be good, otherwise gl on each death starting from start, story is great, puzzles are interesting, need to know the story to understand what to do.
A real old school Point & Click adventure from early gaming times. The puzzles are ok its fully voiced with a combination of great pixel backgrounds and FMV. If you want some nostalgia its a great game. If you want a lot of nowadays qol features like item highlights, hint system, no dying etc. better to avoid it - this was not a thing back then.
This game it's basically trying to have a batman kind of story which it wouldn't be a problem in itself but the story it's full of plot holes , the game it's basically impossible without a playthrough and even then the gameplay really aged like milk , the controls are horrible you basically have a panel that you can open with actions like "look , interact , use" and you have to open this panel multiple times and use every single option on every single object to see if you can do something with said object , even if we ignore the old gameplay mechanics it still has a problem , the game looks nice especially the comics but most of the times you will have to pick key items from the background , now problem is the key items are so small it's impossible to see them , some of them are literally 1 pixel of color that's almost impossible to see , i had to look at youtube videos just to find these items. The game really aged horribly.
