The game is decent but needs polishing I'm only a few hours into the game and currently using it to learn Spanish (Mexico). Prior to buying the game I've been practicing Spanish for around a year, while I am no where near fluent, I am finding small errors that need fixing. One issue is misspelling of some words in the lessons. I've had a few lessons now come up where there are some words misspelt, nothing to egregious which should be easy enough to fix Second, larger issue is giving sort of "summarized" translations. A good example is from Lesson 4 in the cafe that says "Esos días voy al gimnasio en la tarde" which the game says the English translation would be "Those days I go to the gym", leaving out "in the afternoon" at the end. I am a little baffled as to why, in a lesson designed around using details to describe your day, it omits some of the details from the translation. This has happened with many other lesson translations and I don't know if this is the case only in the Mexican Spanish version or if other languages have the same issues I hope the devs will fix the spelling errors and consider updating some of the translations to be more accurate2 found this helpful
I think its a fun extra if you are learning a language and you already have some prior knowledge. If you are a total beginner this might not be for you. It just learns you some extra words, if you don't take it to seriously i think it's honestly great. It Helped me learn a few hundred new word, some i already knew. I liked the mini rush game, but the other mini games were meh. it has some bugs, and not all translations are fully correct (for chinese) but i think 99% is good enough. I actually hope they just add 400 more words, cause i have a fun time learning them this way. I bought it on sale, and for 14 euro i'm more than happy.2 found this helpful
it is ok at reinforcing words
A nice little learning tool to supplement wider language learning efforts. As someone who cannot stomach flash cards, I love that this game is broadening my vocabulary in a way that doesn't feel like a chore. I think the negative comments have their points, but if you are not afraid of paying for language learning content, then I would say its faults are forgivable. It focuses on doing one thing well, perhaps to its detriment, but it is literally called noun town. You want to learn nouns? Get Noun Town.
Currently Learning Russian and its been wonderful! So interactive as im slowly knowing the word around me! We need more of this, and i LOVE Learning Rush Mode, it helps me remember and learn from my mistakes. I would recommend this to student if this was used beyond just Steam!!!
