Part occult mystery, part social deduction, and a dating sim. Investigate mysterious murders and dynamic clues to figure out if your favorite waifu is gonna be your salvation or your doom.8 found this helpful
I really liked what i could play i had to refund the game because it would keep crashing on me. The scene it would do this on is where the first female character is introduced. So for that reason i cannot give this a positive review2 found this helpful
Great Adventure very immersive ! I like that feeling when I was sure of making the "good" choice and miserably fail because of the very well deceiving game. About duration not bad I think a bit more than 10 hours for the first try. The main story is captivating that encourage us to reach the "good" or "bad" end. However some side story seems a bit boring same for the research of clue that was too repetitive.1 found this helpful
Novena Diabolos is a visual novel with point & click adventure elements. The reader is put into the shoes of a Korean reporter who is at a crossroad in his life and wishes to set his record straight with the newscasting team he's working with, along with getting his current investigation in order. At this crucial point in time, his GPS goes haywire and he finds himself trapped inside a mysterious foggy town full of weirdos looking at him funny. It is soon revealed that such a location is breeding ground for demon worship and summoning, and it will be up to the reader to figure out who has been summoned and how, among five beautiful young women. Four of them will be demonesses, while one, and only one, will be a human being. The reader will need to figure out who is the human by the end of the adventure - which lasts 9 days - and then escape with her alive. Failing to find the correct human will result in his sacrificial death. The premise is immediately interesting and the hook is classic horror. I loved the vibes, the atmosphere conveyed by the excellent backgrounds, decent sound design and gameplay flow. The VN randomizes both the human and the clues needed by the reader every p…
I've played and watched a fair few visual novel games in my day, and this is one of the better I've experienced. Now let me get this straight: the playable character is whiny and honestly the first 2 days of gameplay kind of suck. So much so that after the 2 days, I took a year long break from this game. However, curiosity got a hold of me, and I decided to continue the game. And I am so glad I did! I played it once, fully just experiencing everything and enjoying it. Somehow, this game got me to cry at one of the endings. That full playthrough was about 5-6 hours I think? Next, I immediately wanted to see a different version of the story. I reloaded it, and was actually shocked by how much had changed. Even so, I have found that the game rewards you for replaying (iykyk). Within about another hour and a bit, I had gotten to a second ending (thank you skip button). That said, I still felt like I learned so much, and still got shocked at different twists and turns. To my understanding, there is at least... 10 endings? However I have my suspicions there's more. One thing I want to highlight is the writing. Funny enough, because the main character doesn't have a ton of …
This game is so fun! I love the creative idea and the interactive parts are very entertaining, especially with the random aspects. I really liked the story branches and enjoyed the investigations. It was awesome to explore a big variety of locations, collect documents and be able to make own conclusions based on discovered information. The writing is pretty good, I loved how entertaining it is (especially during the interactions with different characters) and also how it manages to create amazing atmosphere as well. The atmosphere is just really good altogether, the intense and creepy parts are very well done. The background art and music definitely contribute a lot to the whole addicting mysterious vibe. The autosave function quite annoyed me at times, moreover I'm somewhat disappointed that the bad endings were short (in my opinion there was big potential to include more content of the monsters) but overall I'm left highly impressed and would love to play something similar!
