It's a fun game but I'm tired of playing In the dark. The days are very short and it's already dark by afternoon in this game then nights are infinite for prep time. This wouldn't be so bad if the lighting options were worth anything but the game offers only sucky light fixtures and no lantern. It strains my eyes and makes me want to play something else. I was addicted and its super fun in a lot of ways but I won't be finishing it for this reason.2 found this helpful
Literally just about buying and selling the same stuff over and over. Special events for better prices exist but can mostly also just be ignored. The fishing minigame is as standard as it comes: wait for line to move, click. Fishing, animals, farming and crafting feel worthless. A lot of work, recipes that need too many of the daily "run around the whole place and pick up plants" ingrediants and basically no worth for selling them. Upgrades are basically all just "bigger store" or "more farm". Employees are mostly usesell except for the cleaner and casheer. The map Rome feels a bit more like a game. On it you cant order anything and HAVE to make stuff for yourself which does make for a bit better game. It has some "quests". Mostly just sell specific amount of item or bring specific amount of item to someone. This also feels kinda half baked with some quests being tied to events that dont tell you beforehand what recource you need, meaning youll have to wait another ingame year and have it ready for that. I feel if employees couldve had more of a use, especially on the farm or hiring someone for fishing to get a bit of automation going.1 found this helpful
my friend is like a bull, she gets most excited at these red colors when slaughtering animals for meats ❤1 found this helpful
i love this game. it's cozy, i've had hours of fun playing it. i love the cashier mechanic, way less tedious than other games. its fun to have the option to produce your own product instead of buying and reselling. my issues are with scaling and balance - the scaling for the adventure mode meant that we didn't actually get to play the game until day ~31 (day ~3 of spring) because everything is locked behind honey which is sooooo hard to get - now that we have a bunch unlocked for adventure mode, there isn't enough time in the day until everything gets dark and then you're doing chores in the dark - fishing isn't unlocked for hours into the adventure mode, at which point it makes no money compared to the work/time of fishing - barrier to entry for machines is so high and its very difficult to make profit off of the machines when it needs a bunch of random materials, including season locked materials the core game is fun, it just needs better balancing of money/time/speed of unlocking stuff.1 found this helpful
