One Troll Army

I picked up One Troll Army as my brother from another mother De'adhiel who passed away a few years back now had played it for almost 8 hours and I was curious. It is a decent resource management/tower defense game and once the troll starts jumping all over the place becomes quite satisfying. The only downsides is you can't toggle difficulties and once you hit resource caps a big box pops up and fades in and out over your troll ability bar (happens between battles only) which is mildly annoying but not too negatively impactful otherwise. The hardest achievement is hire 30 orc mercenaries as it just takes time and a bit of strategy to get your orcs killed repeatedly. All in all, a nice relaxing game for a change of pace and worth picking up with that in mind. The Pinky and the Brain reference was straight out of my childhood as an 80s and 90s kid so that was plesantly amusing also. Nice game, worth a play when you want some time to fill in and not in the mood for something too brain-intensive.

Fun game to 100%

One Troll Army is a fun little tower defense game that gives me a much more active role than I usually get in this type of game. I am playing as a giant troll protecting a goblin fort while waves of enemies keep coming towards me. Instead of sitting back and letting my towers do everything, I can jump into the fight myself and smash enemies with different troll abilities. I like that idea because it makes the game feel like a mix of tower defense and simple action combat rather than just another game where I place towers and watch them work. The troll itself is probably the best part for me. I can upgrade 12 different skills and use attacks such as kicking, ramming, jumping, knocking enemies around and causing earthquakes. I can run around the battlefield and deal with enemies that are getting too close to the fort, while the goblins and defensive structures handle other parts of the attack. I enjoy having to decide when I should fight personally and when I should focus more on the fort. It gives me something to do during every wave instead of making the combat feel completely automatic. Surprisingly fun for a silly little free to play game. One of the few free to play games of this kind that I would recommend.
