I genuinely can not overstate how much I love this game. This game perfectly encapsulates what it was like to grow up in the 2010s internet and I love that. There is so much about this game I love and so much of it I can't explain because it would spoil a lot of the game. I can heavily relate to the main characters, growing up on the internet, having internet friends that you're extremely close to. Although I'm not entirely sure about the message this game is trying to tell you about online friends.2 found this helpful
Ive loved this game for a long time, I remember watching the demo playthrough and some bits of the full game acouple years ago. I ended up forgetting about it and randomly remembered it, now that I have actually played it. I still really love it, the characters and story and art are really good and i'm honestly surprised to see the ARG is still ongoing? or atleast the discord is still very active. That being said, it's not a perfect game and I have experienced afew bugs/ weird gameplay but I like it. It kind of gives the game some charm, nothing can be perfect afterall and i'm too determined to stop playing just because of afew glitches when im this invested. I loved it as a demo and I still love it now 8.9/102 found this helpful
Too cryptic and obscure to remain meaningful and enjoyable
From the very beginning, you face a chasing scene in a mundane maze and have zero idea where to run, and every time you fail, you start the sequence from the start. A bunch of tries later (with a bit of wasted time), the game finally opens up. Huge amounts of texts, a lot of characters, their personal history, relationships, and BUGS, everything is cryptic to a point of becoming just a mess. And this mess is not that kind of thing you would want to sort out. This whole non-linear unexplained ton of lore dumps just chokes you to the sense of despair that even that scary girl from the start sequence would be jelaous. Game fails at tutorial, game fails at intro, and fails to explain to me why do I even care about solving these puzzles. I did solve some parts of some stories - by reading a lot of dull emails, looking for some precious information to enter to the terminal, but that was not even fun! I have read a lot of reviews saying that this game is great. I tried, but failed to enjoy it. And forgive me, I'd rather not spend my time figuring out how to approach this game.2 found this helpful
A VERY GOOD story hidden behind creepypasta puzzles I have only played through one ending, and enjoyed it a lot. It perfectly encaptulates the bygone eras of looking at creepypasta in the 2000s 😭 I personally don't do well with horror, and because of that didn't read much creepypasta, but even so I thought that this was the perfect amount of spooky. I saw some people saying in reviews they didn't like the story, but I don't understand how you couldn't if you truly love a good mystery. Going past the ARG (which isn't required), the story itself is very interesting in the way it is told in bits and pieces, and it always leaves me guessing what will happen. Each room is unique in playstyle and aesthetic, showing a different side of the horror internet space. The characters themselves are very realistic in the way they are portrayed and I'm sure that anyone could identify with one of the 3 if they spent ANY time online lol I personally also love a small cast, enabling us to learn so much about them and how they navigate the internet space. The only things are that I would've never survived without a guide AND the game kept glitching to the point I would have to resta…1 found this helpful
i really really want to like this game but i just cant. The intro was pretty neat but then the first "story" i do is broken to the point i look up the answer and it still wont work. thought this was going to have more to do with the actual computer home portion as well. Just cant get into it and I'm very surprised because I've played some really bad games and sat through them.1 found this helpful
its good enough, not worth $20. The game asks too much out of you for what you get from it and a lot of the hidden lore is gatekept, by the developers own admission.
