About Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Battle through a demon-infested castle to break an alchemist's curse in this exploration-driven Metroidvania packed with weapon upgrades, multiple playable characters, and fully voice-acted storytelling from the creator of the Igavania genre. Stunning 2.5D visuals and addictive combat combine with tons of free DLC and post-launch content updates to deliver a gothic dark fantasy experience that captures everything fans love about classic side-scrolling action RPGs.
Play as Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist’s curse which slowly crystallizes her body. In order to save herself, and indeed, all of humanity, she must battle her way through a demon-infested castle summoned by Gebel, her old friend whose body and mind has become more crystal than flesh.

Addictingly tight and satisfying gameplay alongside a rich new story in the gothic dark fantasy style of Koji Igarashi, the celebrated godfather of "Igavania" games.
Story cut scenes and NPC interactions fully voice acted by a star-studded cast, including actors like David Hayter, Ray Chase and Erica Lindbeck to name just a few. (Seriously, we have a lot of voice acting star power in this game, it's kinda nuts...)

Literally a metric ton of weapons and spells, which you can upgrade, level up and visually customize.
Beautiful 2.5D graphics: 3D models crafted with a lot of love and care on a 2D game environment. That means lots of cool tricks that "regular" 2D can't do...

The inspiration taken from Castlevania is clear and been talked about a lot. A very competent game in doing what it proposes itself too, its fun all around, with a lot of build variety to make and even grinding doesnt feel too awful. The graphics are good and the 3d can sometimes work really well (and sometimes it falls flat.) The music can get a bit repetitive, and the combat can feel clunky sometimes, and some enemies have very annoying design. Spiritual Succesor of Castlevania, I have never enjoyed that much this kind of games (2D fighting), but this was amazing, I really enjoyed playing.1 found this helpful
