I've really enjoyed the concept devs are going for here, but the simulation is so unbalanced I cannot recommend this. The polish of it is on the level of an early access release, not a full release. As other reviews said, it is very easy to snowball and eclipse AI, due to the cascading effects of nodes accumulating exponentially. However, some interactions between them feel really underdeveloped: 1. The influence taxes have on the economy is inconsistent. Taxation in Kind, Sales Tax and Trade Tax all have some effect on the respective economic facet (although it is really, really minor, so they would not be able to break an industry), but Direct, Wealth Tax and Religious Dues only impacting population opinion and that's it? Wild. 2. Your industries do not follow the supply and demand model. It is really easy to get a situation where your factories are just keep growing (mainly because of the Companies node), but there is no resources to keep up with it, and there is no actual demand for their production, thus spinning the system out of control unless you de-industrialize somehow. You'd think that in the absence of demand or command economy style state investment industry would jus…

Ui felt clunky and poor quality, could not find a correct resolution for my monitor, felt much more opaque and clunky to invest in nodes as opposed to one

Really fun game once you learn the mechanics. A lot of the UI tricks that you have to learn on your own but that's okay. Great alternative take on the Civilization games. Glad that I bought this game.

Lovely game. It's so basic, and so complex. You drop orbs, and watch them affect numbers on other orbs. It's addictive, if you like systems that interact with each other. Compared to the first, it's definitely 9/10. Very interesting, in my opinion, but I cannot move past the view being locked to a certain area. Minor issue. We're still getting updates, so who knows where the game will end up. We're already expanding to space with the Cold War update. Also, much love and respect to developers who keep on developing their products. Updated twice, after thinking hard about it. I would recommend this game to others in its current state. It's like a simplified Paradox game, but you're more in control of your society.
