The combination of match 3 and civilization is surprisingly fun and addictive. It's turn-based so can be played casually. The game also provides some challenges especially on higher difficulties when you are still learning about the game. Overall a pleasant experience. Each run probably takes about a hour or two, I'm not too sure. Lost track of time is a common feature in civilization related games. Achievements in the game are not difficult once you are familiar with the game mechanism and know the technologies. Completing higher difficulty will get you achievements for lower difficulty as well.

Rating after 6 hours of play: 7.5/10. This is a straight-forward puzzle game that definitely succeeds in what it sets out to do. It took me a bit of trial-and-error to figure out how things work because the English translation of the basic instructions is very poor, but after I got things figured out I beat the Easy level after almost 2.5 hours of play time. I then tried the Normal difficulty level and was defeated relatively quickly. Next I jumped straight to Hell difficulty in Hero mode and sweated through nearly 3.5 hours of nail-biting game play before finally emerging victorious. It's a simple and clever game that has given me 6 hours of fun so far, but I don't feel overly compelled to go back to it again after beating Hell difficulty (although perhaps with some time away from the game I might feel the urge to give it another whirl). Since I only paid a buck or two for it, I'm very happy with the purchase. In fact, I was so pleased with the game that I purchased Transport Legion from the same developer, and have already been having a lot of fun with that one, too!

"Strategy feels thin compared to luck when it comes to surviving or perishing." Definitely sums this one up.

It's fun, and unexpectedly, you will spend a lot of time in it. It sucks you in and doesn't want to let you out.
