Pretty mediocre survival horror game. -cheap -low fov and weird perspective -performance quite weak especially for those graphics -extremly low stamina -you can't kill enemies with the pistol or the smg, only knock them down for a really short time, only shotgun, magunm (and grenade launcher) can actually kill which is a really dumb concept. You do get a lot of ammo for the pistol (at least on easy) but its kinda useless as you cant kill with it. I'd rather get less ammo but then can actually kill enemies. -item box and "save station" are often not in the same room and they aren't enough of them which makes you backtrack quite a lot -gun play is mediocre at best and aiming is very inprecise with the laser7 found this helpful
Absolutely great game - all those positive reviews are definetely not trolling you - you can trust them the game is a polished AAA game that will put Resident Evil series to shame there is an amazing variety of zombies in this game - one male and one female and... ummm yeah that is it - just two skins... so yes it will amaze you and make your jaw drop to the ground you will love every second of this 3 hour experience that could easily take 2 hours or even 1 hour if it wasnt artificialy streched out and make you run from one end of the map back to the other end. It is definetely not some shameful attempt to mask just how utterly short this thing is - it is a trippe A game design that other major developers should learn from Also - it would be the best thing if this game would last only 1 hour but then you could just refund it and we just cant have that The game was made by one dude so I shouldnt be hard on his work - that is what I thought when I was pressing Quit and preparing to write a positive review saying how it is a clunky little game that is an admirable attempt by a solo developer to create an indie Resident Evil-like game I was like - ok for 1$ you can treat it as a…6 found this helpful
what a game!
Outbreak: Lost Hope is a third-person survival horror title developed and published by Dead Drop Studios LLC that wears its genre inspirations openly while striving to tell a more intimate, emotionally grounded story. Set during a devastating zombie outbreak, the game follows Gwen, a mother separated from her young daughter Hope during the early chaos of the epidemic. This personal motivation immediately sets the tone, framing the horror not just around monsters and violence, but around desperation, guilt, and the instinct to protect family at any cost. Rather than focusing on global catastrophe, the narrative narrows its scope to one woman’s struggle to survive long enough to make things right. The atmosphere is one of the game’s strongest elements. Environments are dark, confined, and deliberately oppressive, drawing heavily from classic survival horror design where tension comes from limited visibility and constant uncertainty. Abandoned streets, decaying interiors, and blood-stained corridors are arranged to make exploration feel risky, with every corner potentially hiding danger. The over-the-shoulder camera reinforces this unease by restricting awareness, forcing players to …

If you're a huge Resident Evil fan, and you're just craving more of that RE-style gameplay and setting, and you don't mind playing something with a much, much lower budget by a solo indie developer, and you can deal with occasional jankiness and weaker graphics/aesthetic, then this game should be worth your time. This particular entry in this series uses an over-the-shoulder camera view, so if you liked RE 4-6 and the 2 and 3 remakes, this will provide similar gameplay. And considering the type of budget indie Unity asset-flip game this is, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how well the text and story in the game were written. I was expecting much worse. I will continue to check out more entries in this series now.
