Marvel at the enhanced 3D visual engine complete with detailed damage modeling. Settle disputes via diplomacy or battle. Or assume direct control over stunningly-rendered ships and planes to personally annihilate your adversaries. From the US to USSR, Germany to Japan, new missions, tactical maneuvers and multiplayer modes offer armchair admirals greater excitement than ever.

  • ENGROSSING WORLD WAR II ACTION AND STRATEGY - Diplomats, strategists and fighter jocks will all have a place in the game; seize the day from behind a deck gun, in a plane's cockpit, or as an admiral in the fleet's strategic planning room.
  • NEW NATIONS - Play as the United States, Japan, and now as Great Britain. Ally with the AI-controlled Soviet Union, Holland or Germany, using updated diplomacy features.
  • A MASSIVE ASSORTMENT OF HISTORICALLY-BASED UNITS - Employ bombers, fighters, submarines, battleships, aircraft carriers and other power hitters of the Second World War. Go beyond the Pacific Theater and even command the Bismarck or HMS Hood.
  • ENHANCED GRAPHICS - An updated 3D graphics engine beautifully renders units, including detailed damage modeling and persistent combat effects.
  • REVAMPED CONTROLS - Master grand strategy, new technology development or in-your-face combat with a newly updated control scheme that streamlines everything from resource management to dog-fighting.
  • MULTIPLAYER MAYHEM: Play head-to-head in action-oriented dogfights, join in cooperative mode with friends, or play competitively against the AI and online opponents to succeed in historical missions or massive theater-wide campaigns.

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's strategic depth, customization options, and engaging arcade-style combat, with some enjoying the classic aesthetic and nostalgic value. However, the experience is severely hampered by frequent crashes, especially during larger battles, and numerous bugs that make the game feel unpolished and unstable for many players.

First game i bought Though it crashes alot... Like ALOT to the point that if you put more than 30 ships in a battle when its 1945 you would definitely crash, maybe steam might to be the blame But anyways this game has quite alot of things that you could acutally enjoy and a plethora of bugs that you could abuse One is that you could acutally customize your unit loadout from rigid weapons to guided missiles. Two is that i like that i can merge ships into a fleet meaning i can make a naval division of any ships i want , But the micromanagement is also both fun and frustating cause i could build ammo and ships and planes as such to send it to other bases but the thing that keeps me from becoming a superpower is the Personnel mechanic, You're telling me that i have to build navy schools(which are limited and random for specific bases) to train a couple hundred seamen just for all of it to be sent on 1 aircraft carrier, I hope that(but never might be) arcade mode will remove the need of this, Also arcade mode is super buggy where it says that you can build units instantly but then when i order 1 unit of something it insteads eats all my resources and build excess units that i dont …

it is still very much relevant today and the classic looks makes it even more immersive. Probably not everyone cup of tea but I give it a 10 out of 10! Yes the music is terrible so just mute it ;)

It's a real mixed bag. The Strategy elements aren't the best, but the arcade-ish combat portions are much more enjoyable. Too bad Steam doesn't have a "Meh," or "Mixed thoughts," button for recommendations. I mostly don't recommend it, because the game feels a bit like a mess. But the arcade portions are fun at times.
