Paddlenoid

Played the beta and demo and now the full game. The graphics, sound and music is a really well matched together! I love the gameplay and each world brings something unique! I only wish there was a bit more music during play!

This is a very challenging experience and takes some getting used to. Essentially, your paddles can only do so much. You MUST tilt the world to get the ball to roll where you want it to. Paddlenoid reminds me a bit of those old "get the ball in the hole" dexterity games, but with much better art and a more vibrant world. It could do with some more music though, some themes to match the various, colorful worlds on display. It's a bit on the frustrating side, but for under $10, with multiplayer included, and only a 40mb download? Seems like it's worth it for me to just get gud.

So far I'm really enjoying Paddlenoid. I think the theming is fun and unique. The gameplay is satisfying and challenging. The way that your shots are aimed before you launch a pod is pretty different, with the ball orbiting opposite of your paddle movement, which lets you aim as you please but with some more challenge than a direct pointer. The game also has a unique mechanic of tilting the entire stage to guide the ball around in mid-flight. This looks visually nice as there is a cool parallax effect, but it also lets you make some pretty impossible shots. It often leads to my death, but I believe this is a skill issue and one could get very good at using this feature to their advantage. Overall this is a neat twist on a block breaking genre, with lots of unique ideas

What a fun game! It's been a while since we found a co-op game that's looks really good and is straightforward. The tilt mechanic is super usefull. There were some levels that may otherwise have gotten a bit frustrating. We also really appreciated the quick reload. We used Xbox controllers which felt like the most intuitive way to play. During gameplay there's more ambience sound than actual music, which I appreciate a lot. The music between levels is minimalistic but very good and sets the mood nicely. Finally, I always have a soft spot for an "aww" moment during credits, so.. nicely done.

Nice game! Good game to blow of some steam, be sure to use 7 pods to make it a bit easier. You can control the game with the mouse or controller. The mouse togeather with the keyboard is a must if you ask me, alot more control this way. Also dont forget to tilt the screen to control the pods dirrections. The 2d games design looks beautifull and the sound effects are nice, only missing a bit of background music. It also has a coop mode (not online), which I did not try yet. The game also reminds me of the old PS1 game pong: the next level.
