Panic Sell

This is terrible. Minimal gameplay, deeply counterintuitive UI, and ridiculous grind to get the achievements (and you can only get 19/20 after 100 hours, last one would take 5+ years)

[i]Panic Sell[/i] is a brainless clicker/incrementer... you know the type, click on stuff to make numbers go up so you can buy stuff to help you click on stuff to make numbers go up so you can buy stuff to... you get the idea. The brainless gameplay is, unsusprisingly, accompanied with an equally low quality technical implementation and poor presentation, resulting in yet another horribly low quality shovelware game that might as well have been done in a web browser. This differs from most clickers in that the progression system is (badly) modeled after cryptocurrency trading rather than just "click and the numbers go up", but the ultimate end here is the same... pointless number watching. And the most disgusting part about this is the "content" for the game is locked behind DLC that you have to buy. This is not free; the developer abuses the "free" section of Steam for profit. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static text/images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. Panic Sell is a very simple trading simulator, but I found myself getting more invested in it than I expected. The whole game is built around buying coins when their prices are low and selling them when they go up, with the ultimate goal of building up as much virtual money as possible. There is no huge story or complicated world to explore, and honestly I think that works because the game gets straight to the point. The main gameplay is watching the prices change and deciding when I should buy or sell. There are several different coins available, and their values change randomly while the clock keeps moving. I liked the pressure this creates because I cannot just sit there forever waiting for the perfect opportunity. Sometimes I have to make a decision quickly, while other times it feels smarter to wait and see if the price moves in my favour. The support and resistance system gives the trading a little more depth than I expected. Certain price levels act as barriers that make it harder for a coin to move into another range. Once I understood this, I started paying much more attention to where a price was sitting instead of simply buying whenever something looked cheap. I liked …

This is the funniest game I’ve ever seen on Steam! A friend recommended it to me. He found a hilarious gimmick in this game. Just look at this! In only 20 minutes of playing, I earned 11 achievements without doing anything! Just buy something and wait. Prices ALWAYS go up. If you wait long enough, you don’t even have to play. Become rich in this game without playing at all. This is GENIUS!
