Paper Bride 2 Zangling Village

I was a fan of the first game as well as another game from this developer so I knew I would have fun with this as well. I love Folklore but I especially love Chinese history and Folklore especially when it gets put into a game like this. The music is great and I love the art direction, some of the puzzles can be a bit lost in translation or lack of but you can still get through it easily enough and if you have time to spare you can complete it in less then a day

Great Chinese horror game! A lot of traditional Chinese/Taoism elements.

Had to pull up a playthrough for this one, very charming! Will continue to play this series :)

I had a lot of doubts and would prefer to put neutral score. Idea is good and puzzles are interesting. Sometimes I even had to think and use paper to make a notes. A lot of puzzles related to chinese language specific, so for other people these puzzles may be more complex than expected. General impression is not bad, but really poor english localization breaks positive mood. Some puzzles becomes almost unresolvable without extra efforts, Two more "magnficent ideas" were the music in the third chapter (in the memories, the most annoying thing ever especially when you need to concentrate on puzzle resolving) and illusions in the last chapter that can cause headache. At least it would worth to change frequency of blinking and timings.

I'm working my way through playing the Paper Bride series and am really enjoying it so far ! I noticed a couple negative reviews complain about the puzzles in Chinese not being translated over, but honestly I found that, even as someone who cannot read a word of Chinese, it was not that difficult to symbol match. Paper Bride does have some very challenging puzzles though, but that's what's fun about it ! If you're really get stuck, the hint and skip features come in handy

As much as I enjoyed the first Paper Bride, this one is a huge shift in quality. The voice acting is much better, the story is much more engaging and interesting, the art (despite already being absolutely beautiful in the 1st) looks even more amazing, and the animations look overall way better (and we also get them more often, which helps in making the story engaging). Playing the two games back to back was really impressive in that regard. If you look at the game in itself, the puzzles are still great, overall much easier than the 1st (as in not as hard to figure out) but not too much either. I enjoyed this game more than I did the first, so personally hugely recommended
