About Paradigm Island

Seventeen years ago, a band of mercenaries took in Mike, orphaned as a baby. Now, on his first mission, things go sideways—and soon, he's caught in a conflict where right and wrong aren’t so clear. Tackle the problems you encounter as you see fit, or become the problem yourself! Rely on physical prowess, logical thinking, or intuition by rolling dice in true tabletop RPG style! Do what you feel is right — or don't. The choice is yours!
Shape your character with a unique blend of skills that encompass not only physical and mental attributes but also the ability to channel the spirit world. Whether you follow your morals or give in to instincts will shape how you see the world—and how it sees you.

Earn the trust of those you encounter, gain their respect and friendship, or manipulate them with lies and deception. Everyone has a truth—it’s up to you to uncover yours.

Even the smallest decision can change your story. Deal with the consequences and make the most of your situation. The world is your oyster—you decide whether to swallow it whole, chew it, garnish it with lemon juice, or pair it with Champagne mignonette sauce.

Short but sweet disco-like game. After completing two endings, I'm left with the feeling that my playthrough was somehow... cut-short? I never even saw a skill check for 50+% of the available skills. This leads me to think this game while short, is probably very lateral in it's writing. I think I'm still gonna go for a third ending with some... radically different choices. The writing has some good jokes and I enjoyed the story generally quite a bit. I only wish there had been more of it, but alas I know the realities of micro indie development very well. I hope the team can continue developing games and very much look forward to what they make next!

really hoping i didn’t get scammed out of $15 for a very very short game… with no updates or added content.. and with only 2 /3 hours of content ….

Haven't played through the whole game yet, but had to give my opinion already. At least I can't spoil anything. The visual style is tight. Really like it. The characters and the world are well crafted and the devs have clearly put some love into them. The story hooks you quite fast with strange things starting to happen. I like the mystery vibe with a lot of foreshadowing for things I yet don't know of. This genre isn't something I usually play, but this game I can enjoy.

That was a nice first episode in what i imagine will be a long series of... What, it's not an episode, that's the entire game? The last thing that happened was "do you want to escort a group of people through a dangerous forest?" and if i said No the game ended and if i said Yes the game ended. That can't possibly be how the game ends! The game has 12 skills and half were only used once and the other half weren't used at all. There HAS to be more game than that. Oh well. It feels like the game was abandoned. But the 3 hours of story were good and it was an interesting setting with a bad guy who might have been interesting if he had been in the story ("Here is the bad guy, he is very powerful, his name is Bob, you will never see him again"). $15 feels a little high for a game that basically gave up and went home in the first chapter but $15 for 3 hours of entertainment isn't a bad deal. Still feels like this was the free demo for a game, not the game itself.

The world and story are both interesting, but the writing isn't that good. The puzzles are all too easy and feel unreal and unrealistic. The dialogue rarely if ever lets you bring up discoveries you've made, nor does the order of which you speak to people seem to matter. Like even after you find out where Renee is, you can still ask people where he is like you have no idea. It's got some cute moments and the game absolutely has a heart and soul, but I just don't like it. :(

Relatively short game with quite a lot of typos and a few bugs. The level up system seemed to have no impact. I save scummed on the last roll that required an 11 after putting 3 points in a skill. Also this game made my fans run, there is nothing about it that should tax my hardware. I could suggest it on a steep discount.
