About Parting Shadows

Three strangers walk into a tavern. What happens next is up to you.Parting Shadows is a story-driven RPG built around meaningful decisions. Every playthrough follows a different path through branching narratives filled with mystery, betrayal, and consequences that stick.

Three Complete Stories

The Stranger's Shadow -- A city hides a dark secret behind a familiar face.Echoes in the Dark -- Wake in a cave with no memory. Trust no one.The Woven Night -- Shared dreams unravel a conspiracy. Three endings await. Each story stands alone with its own cast, mysteries, and branching paths. Choices you make determine which battles you fight, which allies you trust, and which endings you reach.

6 Classes. 34 Specializations.

Pick one of six starting classes and upgrade through two tiers of specialization as you progress. A Squire can become a Ranger, then a Hunter. A Mage can become an Acolyte, then a Priest. With 56 classes to discover, no two parties play the same.

Speed-Based Turn Combat

Battles use a speed-based turn system where faster characters act more often. Manage buffs, debuffs, and abilities across your three-member party to overcome increasingly dangerous enemies.

Play Your Way

Solo, local co-op for 2-3 players, or online multiplayer. Branch decisions are resolved by vote when playing with friends.

Built to Replay

Branching paths, hidden endings, a full enemy compendium, and 56 classes to discover. No single playthrough sees everything.

This game is pretty fun so far! My friend and I got it to party up and have something to do while we chill in discord. It's pretty barebones so far, but it only just released, so hopefully updates to come in the future? When selecting classes there's no description to hint at what the class actually does, so you're kind of rolling blind your first playthrough trying to work out what to take when you want a certain playstyle. It'd be nice if there was like a pop up when you hovered so you could check out a small description, and something similar for the abilities for a more in-depth description of what they do. Overall, solid 7/10 for a day 1 release

Fun indie game. Multiple class specializations and encounter paths help add replay value. The specializations aren't very detailed during selection, though the specialization names give a good idea of general playstyle. Pretty basic but gets the fundamentals right and has the groundwork to grow. I have only played solo so far but look forward to partying up for a campaign. Note: The developer has already made fixes to the character class ambiguity and added more content and seems to be very involved in this game's continued development
