"PICNIC" is an extremely lame "more art than game" walking sim type experience that the developer claims is made badly on purpose... which I think is just a very weak excuse for the game being bad due to incompetence. It's pretentious garbage... now, it's true games can be art, but art is where incredible concepts, ideas and narrative meet the pinnacle of technical excellence... this "game" has neither of those. If the Mona Lisa was drawn in crayon on the back of a napkin, she wouldn't be hanging in the Louvre. This is not making art better, it's making gaming worse. This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarly visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good.
