✦ AI summary

Pictopull is a budget-friendly puzzle game that successfully brings the Pushmo experience to PC with solid controls and Steam Deck compatibility, featuring over 150 levels plus community workshop content at an extremely low price. While players praise it as a solid alternative for Pushmo fans and note its excellent value, some feel it falls short of the original series in terms of quality, difficulty, and aesthetic charm, with occasional bugs holding it back from being a truly polished experience.

A bit buggy but a very enjoyable puzzle game, especially if you like pushmo

I have played and 100 percented Pushmo, Pushmo World, Crashmo, and Stretchmo. Pictopull is not even close to these other games in terms of both quality and difficulty. -- In the Pushmo quadrilogy, aesthetics were bright and rounded so they could be differentiated from the dull-colored, angular Pushmo/Crashmo/Stretchmo puzzles. Trees were round, clouds were round, even the character you play as (Mallo) and their species *are* round. Pictopull gets rid of that. Set-dressing and textures have Mega Man Legends aesthetic, being made up of pixels (squares), not too dissimilar to the Pictopull puzzles themselves. And, in an older version of Pictopull, the character you played as was a direct rip-off of Minecraft skins, pixel by pixel. Now, the character you play as is a robot, filled with sharp angles and devoid of any roundness in sight. Now--I will say, making the robot dull colors ironically does wonders in making them stand out since Pictopulls are a lot more colorful than Pushmo puzzles. But the fact that the city is still filled with Minecraft cube characters rubs me the wrong way, since I feel more robots would be just as good. Now onto the puzzles themselves... they are bad. B…

I adored Pushmo on the 3DS and this perfectly scratches that itch, 150+ base levels plus an infinite amount of workshop levels for only $0.99 cents is seriously crazy deal, apparently when the game first launched it was $4.99 however I assume the dev changed the price after the game didn't sell great. With everything here I would have happily bought the game for $10+. TLDR: If you're at all a fan of the Pushmo games or Puzzle games in general I 1000% recommend picking it up. (pspspspsps play my custom levels and maybe make some of your own id like more to play hehe)

It's not perfect. It has several flaws and bugs. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s Pushmo on PC for a dollar (or less if on sale) with Steam Workshop support.
