This is a hidden gem. The hand-drawn art and comic strip style are gorgeous. The exploration is rewarding, the setting is unlike anything else in the genre, and I was pleasantly surprised by how historically accurate the game is. You can tell the developers put real passion into both the gameplay and the world. I got stuck once, reached out on Discord, and the developers not only helped me figure it out but also patched a small issue I found. That level of support is rare and deserves recognition. I first played it on my wife's Steam account from my Bazzite gaming rig, and it looks absolutely stunning on a 65-inch TV. I enjoyed it so much that I bought my own copy. If you're looking for a Metroidvania with its own identity instead of another Hollow Knight clone, give this one a try.

I cant recommend this. So much unskippable dialogue. Combat is pretty mid. Dogs controls feel so floaty. The jump just feels off. When you get hit it takes like 5 seconds to go through the animation. I feel like im just constantly waiting in this game. I love the unique art direction but it seems all effort went into the visuals over the game play.

There is a good intention the realization does not follow. This pages system like a comic is not pleasant. It makes difficult to know where to go and to just see things. It makes the gameplay not fluent. Then the controls are feeling stiff. Not fluent neither. There is no quick access to the map and this last is difficult to read. In essence, the gameplay does not feel natural. There is an effort on the originality that could value a thumb up. But unfortunately, after 40 minutes, I already know I won't continue it for the reasons mentioned above so, thumb down.

I can not recommend this game enough. I must first start by saying that I am not personally a fan of the [i]metroidvania[/i] genre. I've tried a few, but I just came to realize they really aren't for me. Because of this, I was doubting on whether or not to play this game, yet, because of the amount of friends who insisted I should play it, I decided to give it a try. And so, approximately 21 hours later, after finishing the game, I can't for the life of me understand how this game isn't talked about more. From the second I started playing, I found myself immediately hooked, and could not stop playing until I had finished all of the game and completed all of the achievements.
