About Pluviophile
Pluviophile is a very short experience about the mood of rain in the woods. It is a slow paced pure walking simulator; you only walk, slowly, in the wilderness away from civilization. A beautiful poem from Julius Cawein accompanies your short journey; and the original music score that is composed by Pınar Karabaş.
PS: The core aspect of this game is the atmosphere. It is recommended for those who mostly seek to experience the mood.
Save progression: The game saves your progression at the beginning of each chapter.
I like the sound of rain
Especially rain on a tin roof, but rain on foliage in a forest. That takes it to a new level. And to have some guy on a baby grand piano play you some elevator music at the same time, now that is a good idea.
Walking sim/Unity Demo
Whether Pluviophile is a simple walking sim or yet another Unity demo pure and simple is debatable, it is more art, than game, walking is really slow, there is in reality not much to see, and not much story or poem structure this time. I think you know enough now to decide. Over in less than an hour. If you like simple atmospheric "feels" games, do check out this list https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41773079-EmpathyGames/list/90741/. Or better yet, try one of the actual walking sims https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41773079-EmpathyGames/list/906784 found this helpful
Easily, one of the best games by Tonguç Bodur I've played up to this point (in release order). The atmosphere, soundtrack and sense of feeling are on point. And it wouldn't be one of their games with quotes, poems and a little bit of drizzle.
Such beautiful music and level design but sadly I cant go through it all because it gives me bad motion sickness.
Stunning Game
Probably took about 100 screenshots haha. Really cozy and ambient. I like that you can pretty much free roam and see whatever you want. I completed it in 2.5 hours but you could easily complete it quicker as I wanted to explore everything. It also took me a minute to work out how to progress as this was my first walking sim.
The atmosphere and the sound of rain are very pleasant... But that's about it. The sluggish walk and the extremely slow pace made me more frustrated than relaxed.
A lovely, chill game where you take a walk through a rainy forest.
