About Poly Towns

Welcome to Poly Towns!

Casual town builder that takes place on floating islands in a fantasy world. Grow your town and manage your resources in this challenging builder.

Let's Manage!

Build a tiny village to get started, assign villagers to jobs and let them work! Tax, building upkeep and food consumption are updated every 10 seconds.
Expand your town into new zones, as well as upgrading existing buildings. Once you are happy with your town, you can choose to start a new one or sit back and relax while your existing town thrives.

What's the challenge?

Be warned, the game can be unforgiving. If your villagers lose all happiness, it's game over. If you have no money and a negative balance you can no longer buy anything, it's game over.

I like the idea of the game: you have a limited grid and you try to make the best town possible within the limits. The problem is that there just isn't much to it at all. Took me a whole lot of 2 minutes to figure out the most efficient way to build things so you never will have any issues. If it was more extended and if all the random UI bugs get fixed this could be a fun game. But in the state it is right now it is not and considering it was last updated in 2018 I can't see the bugs ever getting fixed. Linux version of the game works without any issues.

Has a good premise as a casual city builder but there are too many bugs in the UI and game play for me to recommend it.

Kinda boring, a little satisfying cant lie. 100% is easy.

This is not a cozy 3d game like Terrascape or DorfRomantik. Its a cheesy amateurish map game with horrible looking polygonal graphics. If you like it still, just wait till its on sale. The tutorial also was not very good. It was just annoying and clunky. The UI also was bad. I keep trying to build a mine and it wants me to build a house instead even though I already built one. My advice, stay way way way clear of this one.

The game itself is a really good. i liked playing it. But the market building has a major bug. In the edscription it sais 100$/s, maintenance 50$/s. But when zou place it, it gives 50$ and takes 50$, so there is no point to build one of those.

An miniature city-builder that lacks the depth for anything more than an hour or so of amusing gameplay. Noteable negatives are the fact that the market's function is broken, and the church is useless. You also need to turn off the game's sound because the music has this weird persistant annoying noise to it.
