I was yelling so much while trying to beat level 1 that my parents walked in and thought I was watching pornography, I've been forced to go to family therapy ever since.5 found this helpful
Huge design flaw where whenever you use melee you just get a gun out of thin air and then you die because the enemy will shoot you faster than the weapon can come up so very poorly designed game if you could just switch weapons when you want it would actually make sense but this is just bad.2 found this helpful
Short and sweet. It took me about an hour to complete the game for the first time, and I enjoyed every minute. Project Entertainment System has peculiar gameplay mechanics, which most likely will please an FPS admirer. This said, I would not classify PES as a First-Person Shooter game in the classical sense. Rather, I would classify it as an "action puzzle game with FPS elements." Although PES features a first-person perspective and the main goal of each level is to eliminate every enemy using firearms, there are certain restrictions and rules that introduce predominant puzzle elements into the action. In order to get a weapon, the player has to hit a living enemy up-close with a scythe (it's impossible to get a weapon otherwise). For example, the player cannot pick up a weapon from the ground). After hitting an enemy, the scythe is immediately replaced with either a pistol or a shotgun, depending on the enemy type. The scythe itself deals no damage to enemies and does not interrupt their attacks. This makes it very risky to get a weapon since receiving one hit from an enemy results in the player's death. Taking this risk is unavoidable, but it can be minimized with an understandi…2 found this helpful
For two moons I was trapped within the confines of the first level of the game--simply because I repeated the idiotic mistakes repeatedly. It was a very unforgiving but enjoyable experience, and I admire the creator for manufacturing something quite acceptable. As winter is about to return to it's slumber, I have a feeling of haste to continue playing this game before the fresh summer air returns. The seasonal timing is perfect from this; the entertainment value is quite exquisite. I look forward to playing more of Mr. Curlee Fro's games, as I understand his everlasting important values towards gameplay. The music is ♥♥♥♥ though. 70 soul things that you can't pick up out of 5 Among Us paintings, would possibly recommend.2 found this helpful
I beat this game in about 25 minutes (the other minutes are from when I bought this game in 2021) and I can only say I wish there was more. The game flaunts itself as hard, and maybe I'm an outlier, but the first level was the hardest due to confusing mechanics at first. After that its more fun, but theres some ways to make the game a lot easier with patience (which feels like it should be rewarded, no?) like grabbing pistols from the devil dudes while keeping them alive and killing harder enemies. The levels were always fun to look at with the funniest being a level literally made of negative steam reviews. It feels like the prototype that could be expanded on a lot, like it wants to be difficult and mastery heavy like Lovely Planet. For 5$ it isnt worth it, but it was a unique experience.1 found this helpful
Short but sweet. It very much is FPS Hotline Miami, tho do mind the wacky mechanics, they take a while to get used to, and they pick the most dangerous enemy at CQC to teach you how the melee works. Hit detection isn't flawless, i've had shots wiz right through enemies and get me killed, but other times, shots will seemingly kill 3 people, so bear that in mind, tho it's definitely not the most common thing. Level design is very practical, in that at one point it just embraces abstraction, and stops trying to pretend like it cares about balievability, which is fine, you are shooting the same paisa over and over. If you're a fan of indies, hotline miami, or challenge shooters, definitely give it a shot.
