Project Tachyon is a really fun side-scrolling rouge-lite shooter that reminds me of an old flash game I used to play on Armor Games called Raze. I really recommend playing Project Tachyon with a Keyboard+Mouse for all the extra buttons, but I'd experiment with the two controller set-ups to find what works if that's not an option for you (and the developers included an auto-aim option for additional help). The guns, abilities, and perks are all really enjoyable to wield in-between each of Project Tachyon's runs. Each of these can be upgraded using the currency you acquire across different runs that isn't impacted by Tachyon (time) travel when you perish. All of these can feel a bit lackluster at first, but once you start upgrading each gun/ability/perk a bit more, you'll quickly find your favorites and enter into power fantasy mode. I found use for even a gun that deals no damage through the primary fire, which really surprised me. Every run has multiple routes per zone alongside randomized events with a set boss at the end of each zone, making each route plan a strategic risk-reward. the way this game incorporate a story into a rogue like genre is really smart, using time travel! I am hooked to the story, which is a strange way to say about a roguelike game. it is also fun and challenging, I only wish that there was a wider selection of weapons to choose from and a way to test each weapon projectiles before unlocking them. but overall definitely recommend this awesome game.
time traveling as a last resort in a war might be interesting but fatal if rigged yet another rogueLITE with meta progression but has a solid melee/gunplay and a interesting way of risk and reward on building during a run sadly a very predectible story but had a good time here (dunno if i wanna do all the difficulties, stages are a bit repetitive and needs more varitiy/ways to get stuff easier) its nice
Very good roguelite action platformer overall. Controls could do with some streamlining though, there's barely enough buttons on modern controllers to cover all the functions.
