About Quadrix

Pave Your Way Through Chaos. Break Every Rule.
Quadrix is a high-tempo, deckbuilding block roguelite where traditional puzzle logic goes to die. Don't just clear lines—rewrite the laws of the grid using game-breaking card synergies. Reverse catastrophic board collapses in a single frame, manipulate gravity, and chain explosive score multipliers that defy the physics of the board.

Every run hands you a fresh deck. Every placement introduces lethal risks and game-bending rewards. Trigger the right card at the absolute limit to turn a guaranteed Game Over into a screen-clearing, chaotic comeback.

Card Mastery: Weaponize the Chaos
Forget playing it safe. In Mastery Mode, your deck dictates the physics of the board. Speed alone will get you killed—true mastery belongs to those who know exactly when to push the grid to the brink of collapse just to trigger a flawless, law-breaking card combo.
  • High-Stakes Synergy: Draft cards that reward meticulous precision, or draft ones that turn your grid into pure, unadulterated tactical chaos.
  • Sacrifice for Power: Intentionally choke your board, stack the risk, and unleash card combinations that turn near-death moments into record-breaking score chains.
  • Infinite Evolution: No two decks feel the same. Constantly adapt your risk-reward builds to break the game mechanics in entirely new ways.

Beyond the Deck
When you aren't busy bending the rules of Card Mastery, dominate the grid across a massive suite of features:
  • 100-Level Campaign: Conquer brutal tactical objectives and master star-based progression.
  • 6 Intense Game Modes: Test your mental limits in Sprint, Ultra, Zen, Survival, Cascade, and Hardcore.
  • PvP & Co-op Multiplayer: Settle scores in local and online 2-player matchmaking, or survive together in Co-op.
  • Piece Workshop & Customization: Design your own block styles in the Workshop and flex your look with the Avatar Editor.
  • Global Leaderboards: Prove your broken builds deserve the ultimate bragging rights with full Steam Achievements support.

The grid is collapsing. Draw your cards. Break the game.

I’ve been following this game since it was only an idea, and it has come a long way since then. Many of the issues from the early versions, especially the ones affecting the core mechanics, have been significantly improved. Like many roguelike games, what makes this one valuable is that it brings a fresh perspective to something familiar. At its core, it takes a game almost everyone knows — Tetris — and reimagines it in a different way. Is it a perfect game? Definitely not. It still has room to grow. However, especially for a first release, I think it shows real promise. The game’s strengths: 1. A familiar foundation: Tetris is something most players have tried at least once, and this game presents that familiar experience in a new form. 2. Perks: Some of the perks are genuinely fun and can meaningfully change the flow of a run. 3. A solid 1.0 release: Optimization is quite good across different systems. The simple visual style probably helps, but it is still worth noting. Features like co-op, leaderboards, and other core elements are already included. Areas that need improvement: 1. The game needs more perks and more variety. This will probably depend on both player feedba…

Solid Tetris clone with a pretty great feature set (lots of modes), but the roguelite mode needs work. I played a fairly long run in the "card mastery" roguelike mode and wasn't offered a single ongoing/multi-use power in 3/4 hour of play. This makes it feel more like tetris-with-powers and less like a roguelike. I didn't even activate any of those powers, because most of those one-time/instant abilities are situational. The other issue is that if you have a 4K display, there's no UI scaling options, so things look tiny. In any case, I think that's a bug in the roguelike mode, and I expect it to get fixed. I imagine the UI-scale will be, too. So, I'm cautiously giving this a thumbs up since nobody else has reviewed the game yet.
