✦ AI summary

Indivisible blends action platforming with real-time combat as you guide Ajna across a vibrant fantasy world, absorbing allies called Incarnations to fight alongside you in a unique four-character battle system. Stunning hand-drawn animation, deep character stories inspired by global cultures, and challenging gameplay that rewards mastery set Lab Zero Games' signature quality on full display.

Indivisible is an action RPG platformer featuring stunning hand drawn art and animation combined with unique real-time combat mechanics.

Immerse yourself in a fantastical world with dozens of playable characters, a rich storytelling experience, gameplay that’s easy to learn but difficult to master, and the trademark razor-sharp quality that Lab Zero Games is known for!

Our story revolves around Ajna, a fearless girl with a rebellious streak. Raised by her father on the outskirts of their rural town, her life is thrown into chaos when her home is attacked, and a mysterious power awakens within her.

The game’s huge fantasy world, characters and aesthetic design are inspired by various cultures and mythologies. Throughout Ajna’s quest she’ll encounter many “Incarnations”: people whom she can absorb and manifest to fight alongside her.

There are many Incarnations to recruit, each with their own story and personality. By uniting people from faraway lands, Ajna will learn about herself, the world she inhabits, and most importantly, how to save it.

Not forgiving in the slightest from the very beginning. If you like an unforgiving platformer (which it is 70% of the game) it'll be your jam. If you're here for the story or rpg, spare yourself the frustration.

Indivisible is not a bad game, but it has a lot of problems. To start, calling this an RPG is a stretch. It's much more of a metroidvania with a party-based combat style somewhat reminiscent of jrpgs. However, there is next to no strategy or preparation involved in the combat, no character customization (in terms of equipment, abilities, or anything else) and leveling that doesn't seem to really affect anything. The only thing you can change is which character you use in your party. This overall makes for some pretty uninteresting and unsatisfying combat. In addition, the balancing seems very odd at times with most bosses feeling easy, but then you'll randomly encounter an enemy that will absolutely kick your butt if you're not careful. The platforming can be quite interesting in some sections, but quite frustrating in others. The metroidvania-style progression is great, but hitboxes feel really off, some sections are punishing for no real reason, and you'll be doing much more backtracking than you'd expect. The game however has some really great qualities. The art is beautiful and the music is pretty good. The story is nothing crazy but is honestly not bad. It's well thou…

I realise the short playtime, but I've noticed the cons outweigh the pros for me to continue playing this game. Pros: - Animation looks fantastic - Environment also looks fantastic - Music is not bad Cons: - Game mentions a rich story telling experience but the dialogue leaves much to be desired. Characters just accept their circumstances right there and then. Dialogue is very basic, no character complexity, and feels very tropey. - Others have mentioned but it basically feels like I'm mashing buttons. Because you're just mashing buttons, the gameplay does not feel engaging or rewarding. I crowdfunded this back in the day and only got to play it recently. I don't know why I expected this game to have a more mature voice but the pegi 7 really fits. If you're looking for something more substantial beyond something a child or young teen would genuinely enjoy, look elsewhere. Tldr; It's beautiful, but boring. Okay game if you haven't played a lot of games.

A caveat for the casual buyer: If you are looking at this game thinking it will be a light-platforming RPG whose inspiration was Valkyrie Profile, this game is not that. Instead, it is a punishing platformer masquerading, in parts, as an RPG. The game's final section, for example, is about 95% strenuous platforming, and 5% RPG battling. If you do not like platformers, or do not want to be challenged by platforming puzzles, avoid this game. I wish I had known this before buying. That being said, the game is a definite labor of love — well-made, exciting, and engaging. The art is absolutely beautiful. The script is polished, if shallow. The voice acting was a definite bonus here. If you're curious about it, wait for it to go on sale, which it regularly does.

A really solid game through and through. The platforming is excellent, probably among the best I've played. With many tools that are all useful, and many sections demanding that you understand and use all of them in the correct order. The combat is good. I especially liked the boss battles switching between turn-based combat and real-time combat, so I hope more games take inspiration from that. There's a lot of characters to choose from to make up your team, and most of them have at least a couple of wrinkles and mechanics to make them interesting. There's also some synergies between team members, but less than I would've liked. The Indian/Buddhist elements were a breath of fresh air, as it isn't one represented all that often in games. The story was the weakest part, but that's mostly because I feel I'm solidly outside of the target audience. It has a pretty saccharine saturday morning cartoon vibe, so I'd say it's mostly aimed at the young teen demographic. With how wide the cast is there's also a couple of characters that didn't really get much time in the spotlight, with some optional characters getting almost none. They all have their own optional questline towards the end o…

Nice art work, but very tedious and frustrating to play. If you like attempting jumps over and over and over and over again and getting lost in an endless maze of levels, his is the game for you.
