About Ritual
The Ritual is a visual novel with a well-developed plot that tells the story of the heroes becoming on their own path, some of them chose to stay locked up at home, and someone to move on and contribute new life. You have to follow at once two stories that are inextricably linked, the allegories encountered along the way may shock you.

This is a sort of pulp-fictioned art-house meme graphic novel. Story is utter garbage. Writing is down right horrible. Pictures are all stock or stolen. Not sure about the music. Вообщем это шлак. Отвратный шлак. Такой каким в ларьке еду оборачивают. Написанно словно 13-летним ярым поклонником книг про сталкеров. Картинки скоммуниздины с нета.13 found this helpful

Warning: Asset Flip!
Ritual is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" stole a few stock images off the internet and dumped them onto a Godot e-book template and called it their own "game". It's important to also note the "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. Despite being an asset flip, Ritual is not even a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. There's some kind of Russian noir theme to do with some promotional pictures the developers stole from the "V fo…12 found this helpful
I wish I could recommend this as visual novels are pretty cool works of art but unfortunately the English translation just doesn't make sense. Pros: ▫️ Art is nicely styled and conveys the dark atmosphere the story is going for. ▫️ The music loops nicely and I didn't notice the start and stop despite having it run for quite awhile. Cons: ▪️ The English translation is poor. I didn't quite catch the majority of the story beats. ▪️Some of the names change frequently enough it can be confusing. ▪️ The story I could catch wasn't very coherent, but I think that may be because of the translation and not the writing. The experience is likely different in Russian. The experience may be completely different in Russian, so I don't want to judge too harshly. That said, I can't recommend it in English. I played this game as part of my under $5 series on YouTube. You can find the video here: https://youtu.be/g51SxeUFBjg2 found this helpful
