The Renegade/River City (Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun) series has had its share of success in the late 80's, and now, the "Fight it out!" part of its numerous spin-off sports series is back and powered-up!
Four players can play at the same time, and the controls are so simple you can actually have your friends and family just hop in and play!
Online play is supported as well! Come and feel the tension while fighting it out with other players from around the world!
Do not stick to plain punches and kicks! Armed attacks and throwing techniques are here to spice up an already insane brawl!
30 teams, 180 characters and more than 250 different special moves!
The stages are rigged with various traps, and you get to trigger them!
Beat all your opponents, and be the last one standing!
Discover every team's story in SINGLE PLAY mode, or setup a quick game in FREE PLAY mode. If you get knocked out, a teammate will come and replace you so your team can continue the fight, but only in CHANGE MATCH mode!
Moreover, there is an ENDLESS BATTLE mode, where you can take on the challenge to defeat the most opponents before your health runs out!
You can also build up your own team! Could it finally be possible to create the dream team no one ever thought of? You can also set the items you want to use during the battle, have some bombs scattered across the stage or no sharp weapons allowed!

River City Melee Mach!! is the modern update to Technos' 2D tournament Fighter Nekketsu Fighting Legend, Like it's 1992 8-bit predecessor, Melee Mach features the same frantic, four player mayhem found in the original Nekketsu title paired with new gameplay mechanics, arena hazards, and a massive roster of familiar faces from the Kunio Kun/River City franchises. In terms of strategy, every character in Melee Mach!! has their own strengths, weaknesses and special attacks. The Robotic Shingo, for example, can shoot a massive laser beam from across the arena. The Tora Brothers excel at grappling techniques, or playing as the Outlaws allows players to use handguns and projectile bombs against opponents for major group damage. With over 150 characters to choose from (and several more to unlock), Melee Mach!! offers plenty of variety as far as character selection goes. Another big part of Melee Mach!! is the game's number of hazards. Every arena is filled with their own obstacles that players have to contend with. Nice game! I probably shouldn't have played "River City Saga 3 Kingdom's" first. As the fighting button layout, as is the overall game is more polished and refined. It looks better too. However, this game is older than that one. So, it makes sense to not have all the future upgrades 3 Kingdoms has. With that being said, this is a fighting game. The moves are fun, satisfying and sometimes funny to perform. It's a straight forward, yet simple game. I did enjoy it for what its is. RCMM, has lots of characters too. So, find your person and fight. It's drop in and play like smash somewhat. No complicated movesets! Just drop in and start rumblin' lol. RCMM, runs fully on the Valve Steam Deck. Though, it's labelled as unsupported. Realistically, it should be Deck verified. As it runs out of box, with no tinkering required. I used a PS5 arcade stick and it was simply plug and play. It worked fine with a standard PS5 controller too. The only downside is the online achievement seems to be impossible to get now. Online is dead. when i was young i played Nekketsu Fighting Legend on famicom and that games was better …. i dont know but for me controls are bad … i think devs not even played nekketsu fighting legend
