As a long-time veteran of the Roads of Rome series, it pains me to say that I can no longer support the game. This game is incredibly frustrating for several reasons The maps are FULL with resources & garbage everywhere. They block everywhere, makes the overall level messy. The new worker mechanic is a disaster. By splitting what used to be a single worker's utility into two, the game forces you to constantly look on those "magical places" (those stump-like objects) instead of focusing on buildings. This breaks the flow of the game. Compared to previous games, the APM has multiplied, making the experience feel like a F**KING clicking game. ALSO The game is filled with developer-imposed hard locks. You often find yourself with NOTHING to do, just sit and wait for production buildings to output a pathetic amount of resources. The resource yield is a joke compared to the earlier games. In ROR 1 to 4, a basic production building would give 5 units; in this game, just ONE unit. To make matters worse, some levels intentionally don't give a warehouse.

The merchant/market feature is broken, so you can't trade resources on levels where that is an option. Which also means it it literally impossible to get past episode 2 level 8. I tried several different ways, but without the merchant you can't get enough gold. I watched tutorials to make sure I was attempting to use the merchant in the right way, turns out part of the functionality is simply missing. This also seems to be a known issue in Steam forums that the developer won't or hasn't fixed. I bought this game because I enjoyed Northern Tales, but turns out its a complete waste of money.
