About RoboLingo
✦ AI summary
Master over 600 vocabulary words across nine languages by tapping translations in rhythm with the music as you guide shopping robot ANNA through malls and stores. This unique rhythm-based learning game rewards speed and accuracy while making language acquisition feel like an addictive music game.
RoboLingo is a fun rhythm game that teaches you new languages! RoboLingo uses a unique patented technology that will help you learn over 600 words in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.
You play ANNA, the Autonomous Navigation and Negotiation Agent, as she picks up a variety of items from a huge shopping mall and grocery store. When you enter new shopping areas, you'll learn new words that you'll have to tap in time to the music. As you master the language, you'll collect an ever-increasing bounty of treasures.
To play the game, choose the correct translation by pressing the correct button on the bottom. You can use the arrow keys or the number keys as shortcuts to choose a button. If you're not sure which button is correct, listen to the spoken translation. The faster you choose a button, the more points you will get. You also get bonus points for harder levels and for getting the answer right many times in a row. Good luck!
Whether you are completely new to a language or an experienced speaker seeking to expand your vocabulary, RoboLingo's patented language learning can help you read, write, and speak a new language!

Fun game. Flash cards with feedback... its obviously lacking features like "save game". there is visual feedback for right or wrong answers but no audible feedback. May be best suited to introducing children to a variety of languages rather than in depth learning of one... which would require more guidance.4 found this helpful
This is a great language learning game for all ages. The music and graphics are very upbeat and motivating. I would definitely recommend RoboLingo to anyone looking to learn a new language. There's a good selection of languages to choose from so you will have plenty of vocabulary to work through.2 found this helpful
This application is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean, both ways you can learn in either direction. It does work in Ubuntu Linux. Seems like a glorified very thick Anki deck that feels less boring. It has a somewhat good selection and it's pretty. I use 3 different language learning softwares and I'm ditching Anki for this until it feels stale but overall it's a somewhat good software. Most language games don't do English to Chinese and I appreciate that this one does. I also appreciate that it has English to Spanish but that seems pretty common with language learning stuff.
only cards. non stop!
