simple, clean and easy on eyes pixel art. perhaps the gameplay is a little slow, but everything has been crafted in the Zoo Corporation style, therefore extremely pleasant to play. oddly addictive, i do recommend without further ado2 found this helpful
**NEVER 100% COMPLETELY TRUST A REVIEW OR REVIEWER!** I can’t even remember how many times I’ve seen this game, and thought “that looks like something I would really enjoy” but after reading some reviews, the general consensus was that this isn’t bad, just a shallow experience. Well, I eventually caved in during a sale because it was bundled with the Devs other game which also interested me (and is amazing) As it turns out I love it, and it has so much to offer (if this is shallow, I’m curious to see the type of games that aren’t!) I’m not sure what games to compare this to, but it’s a 2D action RPG, and I think it’s definitely worth your time.1 found this helpful
Mildly enjoyable, but very janky and repetitive. Cheap hits abound, movement is floaty and imprecise, and the spike traps on ledges are total BS. Seems to be cobbled together with store-bought assets and scotch tape. Not bad for second screen entertainment while watching TV, though; wouldn’t want to devote my full attention to it. Pick it up on sale if at all.
Juego simple, pero entretenido.
The sense of the game can be to complete the combat areas to unlock more equipment to be crafted, buy skills of the character and increase the player's skill in the game in the process so that for the player tries to be the first in the leaderboard of some area. The longevity of the game can be based on grind to improve the favorite equipment to make the character stronger and the player being able to use the grind to play and relax for example. The game also has internal achievements in the form of "quests" that give equipment and "gold". ------------------------------------------------------- Positive Points: + The 2D art is good to see. + It has good music to listen like the first area after the tutorial and the ice area IMO. + Roguelike feeling in battle areas mainly in procedural mode. + The main character can be cute. + A lot of grind especially if the player wants to upgrade a lot of different equipment, for those who like grind. ------------------------------------------------------- Negative Points: - Maybe not for everyone but if you put the game in fullscreen some images are blurry, and in this case, if you are going to play in windowed mode, there is no option to …
Whilst not absolutely terrible, it feels like a "my first rogue-lite" game. The randomness of the levels means sometimes the portals stop you from exploring the entire dungeon as it's impossible not to enter them. The enemies don't seem particularly varied, they all behave quite similarly, either run towards or run away, with different length lunges and the boss battles feel pretty much identical. High platforms so you can jump over them, boss lunges, hit from behind, rinse-repeat, just with bosses with slightly more health and attack and longer lunge. If you can't beat the boss for whatever reason, you'll be repeating the same levels over and over and this gets a bit boring. There's no real draw here to keep you hooked on doing so. The platforming itself isn't too bad, although sometimes the placement of objects (which I assume is random) makes it impossible to get past without being hit (there was a spear next to a portal on the edge of a platform with a low ceiling so could not be jumped over) - little things like that mare the overall experience. It's not terrible, I've played worse, but put this next to Dead Cells and you know where your money is better spent. I give this …
