Role of Hex

Presumably the point of a tower defense is (usually) to survive for as long as possible, but the game linearly drops FPS after about the first 10-15 minutes, it'd be okay if it stopped at a certain limit but it doesn't. 25-30 minutes in you'll be getting spammed with popups that the game has created lag logs, complete with annoying sounds and taking up a large part of the game screen. Eventually it's so bad that the game freezes entirely. This isn't a one-off on certain maps or something, it's for every map with every game mode with every play style, which makes me think that the dev might not actually be removing/unloading enemies after they die and visually disappear, or maybe something similar. You can see my specs for yourself, I comfortably run most games I own on high/ultra settings at 60+ FPS, including cyberpunk (with ray tracing disabled) so I think I should be overqualified to run something with the complexity of a flash game at a minimum of 10FPS on the lowest settings available

So close to being a thumbs up. I find the idea interesting but once you get far enough into it, it becomes a slog to grind for gear, souring the whole experience. The other big down side is errors that will crash your game and lag spikes.

A good tower defense game. Very replayable as there are so many builds you can do. Only issue is the late game lag.

Seemed fun for a while. Played it a few hours. The next time I went to start it up, it crashed when i clicked on the screen. Every-time. Unistalled. Reinstalled. Crash, same place.

Too grindy for absolutely no reason

If it's on sale yes it is worth 5 bucks. Is it great ....? NO Can it be fun ..... actually yes to a point after certain point no it stops being fun. the reason it stops being fun is the extremely hard grinding factor. This game employs rogue lite feature and that is were the grinding factor comes in. The main problem is your tiny amount of percentages do not level with enemy's of the game and at certain point you just fall behind. At this point you have to go back down the levels you just unlocked and grind for about 12 hours of game play to reach one level above what you could do before. What that boils down to is you get about 36 hours of fun and then you hit the wall you put the game off for how ever long come back here and there spend hour on it leave it for week maybe two weeks collect tiny amount of percentages of say 12 hours worth try the last level you lost week back and with skin of your teeth you might win it congratulations! now your on a new planet AND EVERY BATTLE is like the last one you need 12 hours of grinding lower levels to pick percentages to might ....... might pass the next level.
