About Romance of the Three Kingdoms XII with Power Up Kit
To commemorate Kou Shibusawa's 35th anniversary, the "Kou Shibusawa Archives" will be opened in the Steam Store. Here we will revive popular previously released titles.
In this eleventh round of releases, we offer "Romance of the Three Kingdoms 12 with Power Up Kit," an expanded version of the 12th game in the series.
The stage is set. Create the story.
Throughout the course of Chinese history, upset victories, like the Battle of Guandu and the Battle of Chibi, have proliferated. To make this kind of dramatic battle possible, we have included special large scale strategies called Gambits. Also in these climactic real-time battles, the key to victory is using strategies that best mesh with the rapidly changing conditions on the battlefield. Through the Power Up Kit, the Gambit system has been improved, City Technologies, Foreign tribes, new equipment, and an officer/strategy editor have been added.
Note: Neither "Online Battle" mode nor DLC are supported for this product.

You can play as any warlord, and every decision—alliances, betrayals, taxation, recruitment—feels weighty. One wrong move, and your empire crumbles faster than your patience during a long siege. The AI, while competent, can sometimes make hilariously unpredictable choices. That general you trusted to guard the northern border? Suddenly surrenders to the enemy. That ally you thought would be reliable? Turns on you because… well, the game said so. It’s like playing chess with a drunk historian. And the battles? Strategic and satisfying. Watching a perfectly executed pincer move decimate a larger army is chef’s kiss. But let’s be real—the micro-management can get tedious, and it’s easy to spend hours just shuffling troops or negotiating alliances instead of actually waging war. Best background app since ROTK 4&5
Easily one of my favourite game because I can choose Liu Bei from 184 and trigger all the events, This is the only RoTK series that allows you to do that, and being able to witness the downfall and the uprising of Liu Bei over and over it's really very exciting. An absolute must for every Liu Bei fan!
