Too grindy, and clunky controls. Other reviews have expressed similar and its true. Its a real shame because I really like the vibe of the game, and the two bosses I have come across seemed very cool. However, the game is hard because of the wrong elements. You start off with pitiful health, traversing stairs is always inconsistent, enemies spawn out of no where (even in loot crates!) and when you do die, you lose ALL of your progress, aside from masks. After a while I was able to defeat one of the bosses, I was ecstatic, but when I went to investigate their dropped item, it just froze in a white screen. All that effort for nothing. Other things must be unlocked by dying THOUSANDS of times, no thanks. I didn't play for that long, but I can still tell the effort won't be worth it. It felt like I had made ZERO progress in 2 and a half hours. The only runs that went anywhere was basically due to lucky RNG, and despite my best efforts, most of the time I died due to falling zombies and stairs :/ I wish I was able to discover more of what this game had to offer, but the game works against you.4 found this helpful
I really really dig the visuals but the mechanics of the game make this too much of a pain. The keyboard controls make shooting easier but the melee much more difficult since you need to double tap just to perform a standard melee. The gamepad controls make melee easier but moving up stairs more difficult since you'll often fall right through them if you try and jump on them, giving enemies a free hit. But worst of all the charecter is way too squishy and can't survive much, being able to take only about 5 hits from cannon fodder enemies (and the enemies all damage on contact, instead of windup <which is often the bane of any game> ) meaning that often times some deaths might feel "cheap" because an enemy spawned right where you're standing or you fell through the stairs when you wanted to climb them. This wouldn't be an issue it weren't for the fact that it resets your entire progress if you croak, and saves only the masks you unlock, leaving much of your runs to RNG and luck. Furthermore all mods for guns require grinding out zombie kills and usually go upwards in sets of 100 or so2 found this helpful
Very underrated game in my opinion! Seems to be quite addicting time killer. While having some flaws as every game, has its charm too, which I liked. There is also quite a bit of content (in terms of faces, upgrades, bosses), while it may seem to be small from first look. Game also has a bit of rogue-like elements. The only downside outside of few bugs is that 2 achievements are a bit too grindy, but it still can be shortcuted a bit. If you want to know more about this game or get some tips and tricks, I recommend to check my guide about it. Terrible. Not sure how this made its way into a game. Flash games from 10 yers ago were better than this trash
