There's some primal part of the human brain that makes us want to explore. If you scrolled far enough down to read this, you've already seen what this game looks like and might be considering it anyway. If that's you, then you will probably at least get a kick out of trying it. It won't blow your mind. It won't stun you visually. It won't wow you with its depth. It's exactly what you think it is, nothing more. But if you are thinking of buying it, then I won't tell you not to, because you are exactly the kind of person this game was made for.

Old, but GOLD. If you're patient and live for the thrill of the seas with story and battles of all kinds, this game is for YOU. Traveling between islands for quests feels like a bit of a drag at times, but getting them done really makes this feel more accomplished. I will say it now, that this game is definitely a grind. Everything you do will feel lengthy, but it makes you appreciate all the work you've done in the end. Just an absolute cinematic experience. (FYI: Hardcore is my forte for fun. One life makes this more thrilling, but horrible when you actually die lol)

Windrose is a FAR better game and that's somehow still in early access. Meanwhile they had the audacity to release a Salt 2 rather than fix the first one?? You're trying to survive on an island full of trees you can't chop down, only able to use wood you find on the ground. Real big unforced error in a game with lots of potential.
