Very well written and funny

A review seems redundant I guess, since anyone who would play this has probably already played the first one and liked it enough to pick this up too. But still, worth mentioning it's an improvement over the first game in a number of ways. The puzzling is a tad more inventive, the game helps you out a bit more with context clues and occasional hints, and each episode feels more unique in stylisation and get up to more absurd antics than even the first game could muster. The referential humour also took a huge step up in this game, with some really niche references and subtle nods that surprised me.

Like Sam & Max Save the World, this is a remaster of a Telltale classic. Fitting of a second season, this took the DNA of the first season and cranked the goofiness up to 11. While Save the World has a much more straight forward plot, this one is more like 5 distinct and fleshed out stories that are fairly independent of each other, until you get to the final chapter and everything converges. While this one has one fewer chapters, it doesn't feel any shorter. I'd say this one had even more effort put in. The car minigames, while fun, were a little repetitive. If you are going for a 100%, you'll find yourself repeating these segments multiple times to collect all the decals, but it's not the biggest waste of time, just a slight annoyance in an otherwise great little adventure game. There's a little bit of that old point and click adventure logic, where you have to try every item on everything else, but I only really got hung up on one spot. Without spoiling anything, I'll just say, you should use the paperclip chain on the crack in the ground.
