Lock in! Samurai GUNN 2 is a bloody and brutally fast platform fighter for players who like short rounds and intense action.

HAYAO is the best character to start with. He is by far the fastest character in the game, and in Samurai GUNN 2, that makes him one of the strongest.OTOMO shoots fireballs that can trap opponents (and herself if you’re not careful!). She can slash through her fire traps to gain an incredible boost of speed for a limited time.
GOLEM can create destructible stone blocks with his bullets. He can even create statues that can obstruct, frustrate, and crush opponents.
POPS is slow and strong–very dangerous in close quarters. He can dash-grab opponents and send them flying to their explosive deaths. He can even dash-grab their bullets and return-to-sender. His bullets explode on impact and the splash damage can kill through walls.
GHOST has an echo float ability that makes her unpredictable in air combat. Pay close attention because her bullets are invisible, She can temporarily turn invisible as well when she dashes. Chain together successive kills to remain invisible and terrify your opponents.
SLUG is the choice for high IQ players. So many tricks–he can stick to walls and run on the ceiling. He shoots kunai instead of bullets that he (or his opponents!) can retrieve and re-fire. He can tilt the kunai in unpredictable directions. He’s kind of slow, but he has a fast-fall mixup to catch opponents off-guard. Try him once you’ve mastered the basics.Helmsley is our most complicated character by far. Grind along stage surfaces to earn ammo, then use ammo to charge up your next move, whether that's firing a shotgunn with crazy spread, or going full berserk with a giant iron sword. Do you have the guts to take on Helmsley's mental load? Mastering Helmsley will require even the best Samurai Gunn players to retrain their muscle memory.
SAMURAI GUNN 2 × RIVALS OF AETHER
RANNO plays completely differently than the samurai characters, retaining his unique traits from Rivals of Aether. Fast on the ground + slow in the air, Ranno can fling around the stage with his toxic tongue grab, launch a spread of poisonous darts, and tumble unsuspecting opponents with his bubble trap.REGULAR UPDATES

Simple enough for the couch. Deep enough for the sweat.1 found this helpful
We need a survival mode like the one in the first Samurai Gunn
its fun, its well designed, it is easily without a doubt the best couch pvp and online pvp fighting game i have ever played. everything is so fluid and its just so much fun. please treat yourself and buy this gem of a game, discord server is necessary to find players to play with, its like the chess of character fighting games, super easy to learn, ridiculous learning curve for those aiming to master
Positive review because I believe in the game and think it's good and don't want it to reach less people because of poor ratings, but oh my goodness this game just isn't worth 20 dollars yet. Not even close. The all-time player peak was 99 people 5 months ago (as of July 5th 2026) and it obviously needs more onboarding for being an online-only platform fighter. Something like $5 sounds like lowballing for such a high-production indie but I think it would probably get more cash in the end since demand is currently so low. I've shown the game to friends and they have been very turned off by the pricepoint, especially when I mentioned that its recent recode has cut gamemodes, missing lobby settings, only 2/3 of the old roster, and only ffa modes left - all for the cost to get doubled from $10 to $20. I know there's the free version and whatever for newly interested people to play but, I mean, jeez, who wants to play a neutered version of an already currently-neutered game? It feels like there were no balls left to be snipped from the thing and they still found places to chop stuff off. Really punishing to potential fans of the game who could breathe some life into the matchmaking
This is one of my favorite games. It's super easy to get into and has a super high skill ceiling. Genuinely my favorite couch versus game and just such a joy.
I love this game and i wish i could play it but i use crossover for my windows-only steam games on my mac, and no matter what i tried i couldn't find a way to play through any of the launchers(vulkan, dx12, etc), and it would end up giving me a "graphics init error" every time i launched the game. Not sure if there's a fix to this but I'm hoping there is something the devs can do to add either a native mac version or crossover compatibility in the near future
