✦ AI summary

Save the Halloween is a single-screen 2D platformer with a Halloween theme that suffers from significant technical problems that undermine the experience. Players consistently report broken collision detection causing unfair deaths and characters getting stuck to objects, along with floaty and unresponsive controls that make platforming frustrating. The level design is criticized as lazy and uninspired, with the game compared unfavorably to low-quality bootlegs and fangames, leaving little to recommend despite its festive theme.

Save The Halloween is a very lazy single screen 2D platformer with a halloween theme as you control someone with a pumpkin head, collect candy, and go through the crypt door to reach the next level.

It's not very good. It reminds me of those crappy games you'd get for free in a cereal box back in the 1990's. There are awful lot of glitches.

This is the absolute worst platformer I've ever played, and that's including many Mario and Sonic fangames, the worst of NES and clone system bootlegs, classmates projects at university, and more. Why? [1] Collision detection is completely broken. It's broken to the point where you are more likely to stick to the side of objects than actually land on top. You can fall through as well. The saw killed me without even touching me a few times. [2] Floaty controls. Really, really floaty. Sometimes unresponsive. [3] Level design is mostly single screen affairs with no real planning involved. If this is campaign to "Save the Halloween", then I say let it die.

Save the Halloween is a festive indie platformer that embraces classic arcade sensibilities while delivering a cheerful adventure inspired by one of the world's most recognizable holidays. Designed as a casual experience centered on exploration, precision jumping, and collectible gathering, the game focuses on creating a fun seasonal atmosphere rather than overwhelming players with complex systems or demanding mechanics. Its straightforward approach makes it easy to understand, allowing players to jump directly into a colorful Halloween-themed journey filled with candy, traps, and spooky scenery. The game's story is intentionally simple and serves primarily as a motivation for the adventure ahead. Halloween is under threat after all of the precious candy needed for the celebration has mysteriously disappeared. Without it, the holiday risks being ruined entirely. Players step into the role of a determined hero tasked with recovering the missing treats and restoring the festive spirit before it is too late. While the narrative never becomes particularly deep, it succeeds in providing a lighthearted objective that fits the game's playful tone and seasonal identity. At its core, Save…
