Save the Red Box: Prologue

Save the Red Box: Prologue is a free to play precision platformer that keeps things very simple. You control a box and have to make your way through a level full of traps, reach the Red Portal and then make it back to the Green Portal. The main idea is simple, but the game is not easy. Once you touch the Red Portal, Chaos Mode starts and the level becomes much more dangerous. You have to get back through the level while avoiding all the traps that are trying to kill you. There are fireballs, spinning fire bars, spikes, crushers, cannons and lasers. Most of these need very careful timing, and making one small mistake can send you back to the start. I like how focused the game is. There is no story or anything distracting you from the platforming. The prologue is basically just about learning the movement and trying to get better at the level. The minimalist style is definitely different too. Everything is made from simple boxes and there is no sound in the prologue. This will not be for everyone, but it does make the game feel like it is completely focused on the challenge. The biggest problem is the amount of content.
