Scholar's Mate - First Move

Unfortunately just didn't feel quite. If this is a prologue for more to come, then it fails to give me any desire to want more. Really nice graphics but the gameplay is soooo boring.. and I usually like escape games.

what I liked about this game, is it's enviroment, the enviroment alone makes the game even more scarier ( the graphics also vastly different from low to ultra and I mean very very much that very few games have ) But its very annoying, the puzzles and other things are very hard to get i had to spend nearly 30 mins just to find a key, that's most of the worst thing about this game, other wise good game, you can try if you have so much time to play on a single session

the game is way too short to be any fun and it just lacked the horror aspect mostly

[H2]"Prologue", "Episode 0/1", "DEMO"....[/h2] [i] All descriptions for the same thing: [u]an incomplete game, released with it's own Store-Page[/u][/i] Instead of releasing these ''demos'' on the same Store-page as their future title, they choose to have 2 store-pages instead of 1, hoping that this will [i]''increase their reach to a bigger audience''[/i] - even if that goes at the cost of cluttering up the ''free to play'' tabs, making it harder to find actual GOOD F2P games. Worst part? Crypto-shell companies, Ai-slop farmers, triple-A studios and even good, honest - small indie devs are doing this. There are actual HARDWORKING DEVS out there who see this kind of sh!t, and come to the conclusion that the only way to compete, is to do the same scummy practice as the bigger, more popular fish out there! [b]Nobody wins, everyone loses.[/b]

I'm not going to say much the other reviews say as well, well most of anyway. There's some juice here and effort. The setting and big bad albeit being derivative the actual real person VO and performance is a nice touch that adds stakes. But where this really falters is the puzzles are just bad. It's one thing when one or two people don't get a puzzle or its solution even, but when multiple reviews are all saying the same thing that the 2nd locker puzzle and fuse puzzle make zero sense? Devs, you should probably listen.

I would lie if i would say its a bad Prologue, but its just dont have enough to really be big enough to be a Prologue. The length is more like a Demo and the story and the mechanics not really special or new that i was really hooked by the game. I might consider palying the full game but am not really full of anticipation for it. A nice little Prologue with an eerie atmossphere. I can recommend it,
