You can assume supreme command of the military forces of a corporation, and help it gain dominance in space. Your actions will determine your corporation's success, or failure, in attaining its paramount objective: to leave the planetary system ahead of its competitors.

"Once we found a way to overcome stellar gravity and travel beyond the boundaries of the native planetary system, many sought to take the lead in colonizing deep space, reasonably assuming that whoever comes first will claim more territories and resources than the rest.
Major world powers and the corporations behind them engaged in bloody military conflicts, competing for a unique and precious resource: a substance of unknown origin dispersed throughout the galaxy, which was discovered to serve as jump-drive fuel that enabled starships to leap enormous distances and venture outside the home system. Harvesting this resource became a number one priority for anyone who aspired to explore and dominate vast areas of the universe.
Fighting over the right to benefit from this mysterious ancient gift, the world depleted its own resources. As it became apparent that further large-scale hostilities may lead to the extinction of our very civilization, the warring parties summoned a worldwide assembly and adopted a universal declaration, which decreed that territorial disputes in outer space be decided through tactical engagements by limited groups of spacecraft. A corporation would secure a monopoly right to harvest resources in a specific sector by dispatching a battle group and scoring a victory against a rival fleet. Thus, while maintaining military force as an instrument for settling disputes, the world has limited its use to prevent an all-out war and ensure itself against total destruction".

Wow.. Sector 724 seems to have flown right under the radar of everyone on Steam! I feel for the developer here, because this game has more going for it than a large number of the other titles that were release mid-April. There are a couple of other reviews here, but these are in Russian. So I thought I'd take the chance of purchasing this game at the low asking price to see if I can help out in the form of an English review.. I couldn't get past the strangeness of the combat mechanics. It certainly looks appealing in a screenshot but actually playing it was surprisingly not at all what I expected. I can't say I got much father than that before deciding it wasn't for me and refunding. This is one I'd DEFINITELY recommend watching a Youtube video of prior to purchase. this is a little known game it seems, but it is a pretty solid affair - a good space tug of war style hex based game, kind of boardgame like but with an added space battle section - the space battle section is simplistic and doesnt have alot in the way of tactics but itis real time and does afford some options, though this is a game really of attrition and masses and whoever has the best and most ships wins really, a good number ship design and upgrade options and some other elements thrown in for in game choices too, - for 6.99 this game is a definite worthwhile buy4 found this helpful
I only paid less than 2$. I guess I'm still refunding. No tooltips. Random combat opponents. Crashed on me once already. Not a strong competitor for my leisure time.3 found this helpful
Technically bad game. Constant freezes and bugs greatly spoil the experience. Ship upgrades are interesting. But the scarcity of the combat component makes everything boring.2 found this helpful
Sadly, I cannot recommend this game. The strategical layer has relatively little depth other than balancing between growth and defense/offense, which in itself is very finnicky as it's extremely difficult to judge effectiveness of ship loadouts in any way. Part of the above, is the fact that during battle, whether missiles get shot down or not seems extremely random, and extremely impactful. If your enemy can deploy ships with bigger missiles than you, you're likely to lose a ship or two off the bat, and after that it's just several minutes of ships whittling each other down. There is also the technical problem of transition between menus/views taking as long as several seconds, which just adds to the frustration.2 found this helpful
