WOW wow WOW I didn't expect to like this game as much as i do BUT I'm back craving more Theres something to be said about the graphics and overall style of Last Guy that just really hits in a time like this. No, it doesn't have ray tracing or crazy HDR textures. Game is nicely optimized and looks on point with the style they were going for. It feels true to the N64 / Playstation 1 era which I grew up with, obviously its more modern feeling but with the down sampled audio, simple textures, simple movements its hard not to fall in love with the style. Movement and mechanics in game are predictable and great addition on top of the spooky story, this series could easily have a few dlc's dropped as a sequel or prequel. The puzzles are challenging enough to make you scratch you head as at few points but with some exploring you'll eventually figure them out. Great game! From the start, the whole game feels a little bit like walking on a high wire. You can die at any time and that keeps a sense of suspense hanging in the air. The dystopian future is slowly revealed in drips and drops of discovered log files, while you work your way through an immense facility filled with puzzles and battles. Though not incredibly difficult, (except maybe the final boss) each puzzle, battle or area is challenging enough to feel very rewarding when you advance to the next part of the facility. The writing is great and the massive size of the facility will often have you stop and drink in the feeling of smallness the Last Guy must be feeling as he runs through the chambers, not knowing if he is the last human on earth.5 found this helpful

I had a pretty good time with this. The gameplay all felt great, the music, the art, and the overall package was solid. I ran into a few small bugs but nothing that was a big deal. The final boss fight was fun. You can see how much effort was put in with all the animations. However, I did get rather disappointed when I realized I had nearly beaten the game and had only been playing for about 3 hours. So, at first, I had a lower opinion of the game because I was expecting double that runtime if not longer. I waited a bit and played through it again and enjoyed myself for what it was. I still wish it was longer but can appreciate it for its size and scope. There were a few moments that I felt showed where the dev took inspiration from, and I'd like to see a bit more of their own voice in future works. All that said, it was good time for a shorter game.2 found this helpful
Fun little indie game and I think it's worth the price. Kinda reminds me of games from PS2 / Xbox era of gaming. It's a comfy game at the end of the day. Not a bad first try from a new studio, and I'm looking forward to their next game.2 found this helpful
