The Earth was almost completely destroyed, but human civilization was not gone. People built the Delta complex, which has become a shelter for survivors.
People who live in Delta are called colonists. Their main goal is to collect and accumulate information for its transfer to future generations. To increase the speed and efficiency of works, the colonists pass erase procedure (partial memory lock). Life here is subjected to strict rules, colonists live in absolute solitude. They don't have names; they only have personal sequence numbers. Your number is 183 and you're the ordinary colonist. With you, as with other colonists, does nothing unusual, but one day your life changes. Can you take the chance to find out the secrets of the Delta?
The choice is yours.

This is a game with a great concept, but fairly limited and weak execution. It's an investigation game set in the apparently last surviving human colony after a global collapse. You want to investigate the true story behind your environment. But the levels are fairly limited, the puzzles are obvious and we do not get that much supporting backstory details. Also, there are technical issues with the game that are annoying. It's not a horrible game, but it's just not a strong execution at all.1 found this helpful
A SECOND BEFORE US is a compact first-person adventure built around exploration, environmental storytelling, and a science-fiction mystery rather than action. Developed and published by DimleTeam, the game takes place after a sequence of catastrophes has pushed humanity toward an uncertain future. Civilization has survived, but survival has come with severe compromises. The resulting world is bleak, controlled, and deliberately impersonal, giving the adventure an atmosphere that immediately encourages curiosity about what happened and what remains hidden beneath its apparently orderly society. The player assumes the role of Colonist 183, an inhabitant of the Delta complex. Delta was established as a sanctuary where survivors could preserve knowledge and prepare humanity for whatever comes next. However, life inside this supposedly protective environment is governed by unsettling principles. Individual identities have been replaced with numerical designations, personal memories can be suppressed, and the inhabitants are expected to fulfill their assigned functions without questioning the system. A nice little walking sim in a futuristic setting. The story is nice and the overall gameplay is pretty nice. Its not very much but still pretty nice. I can highly recommend it.
