Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE

Garbage. You have lasers on both weapons that extend into infinity. This renders the game ultra easy. You don't even have to try. You can have your arms relaxed and have your hands by your pockets and you still can perfectly aim at enemies and kill them all.

What can I say, it's Serious Sam in VR. It's similar to the regular Serious Sam 3 BFE, the biggest difference is the control scheme. There really isn't anything that makes this a must-play in VR, but it was a novel way to experience the classic, in spite of some issues. This review is more issues than anything, partly because this is more about how the game translates from flat to VR rather than BFE itself. For a review of the game itself, I'll be sure to post a link here if I get around to rewriting my very old and useless one. The gameplay's both harder and easier in certain aspects, for example how it's harder to keep track of your surroundings, but significantly easier to dish out damage with the uncapped fire rate on weapons and the ability to dual wield [b]almost anything[/b] (excluding the Mutilator, Sniper Rifle and C4). It makes for a slightly spiced up experience in a good way, and unlike OG 3, there are no reloads or sprinting. The controls are a bit crap, weapon select is finicky and imprecise, but once you get used to them you should be able to play pretty competently, especially in single player where weapon select temporarily slows down time. VR делает из проходняка, в который скучно играть даже в коопе, довольно неплохой опыт который заслуживает как минимум одного прохождения на нормальной - высокой сложности. Кроме последнего уровня где на высокой сложности становится довольно муторно зачищать большие полчища скелетов которые постоянно сбивают большинство твоих снарядов бьющих по площади. И это даже при том что в игре довольно сильно порушен баланс из отсутствующей перезарядки у пушек и не отключаемой возможности игроку и врагам сбивать снаряды друг друга (крайне дурацкая функция для тех кто играет стоя с телепортом, я играл на полной скорости скольжения). А также довольно неуклюжая реализация ближнего боя кувалдами. Если вам, как и другим в своё время не зашла SS3, то VR версия определённо имеет шансы исправить ситуацию. Ну и по классике для PCVR довольно сильно занижены системные требования, особенно процессор. Смело умножайте рекомендованные на два-три а то и четыре, если хотите иметь стабильно выше 72фпс и больше 2000х2000 пикселей на глаз, т. к. рекомендованные вероятно писались под HTC Vive и Oculus Rift

An excellent 3D shooter for relaxing and battling hordes of monsters. Unusual monsters and maps.

This is a solid VR shooter that keeps you on your toes. The obvious tradeoff for VR is the last gen level of graphics, if you can get past those, this game is a decent time waster.
