About Shadow Harvest: Phantom Ops
As highly advanced weapon systems, made in the USA, are sighted on various battlegrounds in Third World countries, the US government decides to send in an ISA agent, Cpt. Myra Lee, to find out how political enemies are acquiring arms that are under strict embargo.
Myra is sent to Mogadishu, where American made weapons have allegedly been employed in combat by Somali military forces against rebel units. In Somalia, Myra meets Cpt. Aron Alvarez, a hard-boiled close combat specialist of US Army's 1st SFOD-Delta, whose squadron is assigned to assassinate Somalia’s dictator. Myra and Aron begin working together only to discover that that the seriousness of the whole affair reaches much deeper than just the illegal trade of US weapon systems.
A special unit under the codename SHADOW HARVEST is formed within the ISA to reveal the truth. Cpt. Myra Lee and Cpt. Aron Alvarez are made partners in the operational core of this special unit and their investigations lead them to various places all over the world.
- Based on the operations of the Intelligence Support Activity (ISA), with missions ranging from gathering critical intelligence data to covert direct action operations. The existence of the ISA has never been officially confirmed by the US government.
- Two completely different characters; each with very specific and fully fleshed out sets of skills, preferences and abilities. Cooperatively complete covert operations. Players may switch between each character at any time, using either Aron's combat abilities or Myra's stealth skills to solve the situation.
- Players choose from a vast array of weapons and technologies that enhance both characters strengths. Employ mechanized weapons to boldly attack enemies from head-on or an invisibility shield to creep through enemy territory undetected. Take advantage of refined game mechanics that take the traditional shoot-to-kill approach to a new level.
Key features:
- When a covert operation to stop illegal arms sales reveals a full-scale global conspiracy, a special unit under the codename SHADOW HARVEST is formed to reveal the truth.
- With two completely different characters serving as the unit’s operation core, you must choose from a vast array of weapons and technologies that enhance both characters strengths.
- Features a gripping storyline that unfolds organically through the gameplay (doesn’t rely on cutscenes to move the story along). The ratio of gameplay to cutscenes is better than 13:1.
- Players can switch between the two main characters at any time during the game to take advantage of each character’s strength as well as combat a sophisticated AI that adapts to the strategies you develop.
- Open level design and option secondary objectives leave the outcome completely up to the player to choose.

Players universally dislike this game, criticizing its poor controls that feel unresponsive and clunky, unfair difficulty with instant-death moments and inconsistent checkpoints, and technical issues including horrible audio mixing with ear-shattering sound levels and excessively dark visuals with excessive visual effects. The consensus is to avoid the game entirely and watch a YouTube playthrough instead if curious, as the overall experience is frustrating and disappointing rather than entertaining even in a "so bad it's good" way.
13 something years later, I still remember wasting $40 on this game.5 found this helpful
I would recommend this game as a "so bad its good" game but unfortunately 2 things hold it back, 1 the horrid stealth sequences at about the half way point that insta kill you if anyone so much as smells your breath, yes you can cheese it in many ways but your resources are slim and the controls are ass. and 2 the absolute inconsistent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ checkpoint system, sometimes its fair, and sometimes you get oneshotted from around the corner by a sniper and need to redo 5-10 min of gameplay (made worse if its during the stealth sequences) In general, the graphics? laughably bad, so much bloom, god rays, depth of field, and muzzle flash that everything looks laughably bad gameplay? laughable as well, the ragdolls upon getting shot are pretty funny, enemies die super easily and like most bad thirdperson shooters, you can shoot through walls easily voice acting? meh kinda silly at times Other comments: the female is just there for sex appeal, to the point its laughable, 2 qtes in her parts of the campaign, one is where she sexily moves over lasers and the other to do a lap dance. OH and dont look directly down or up, I don't think the developers know what a spine or shoulders look like…1 found this helpful
If you really gotta play this game, Just watch a YouTube playthrough instead. The gameplay isn't great, not horrible but not even close from even good. The Audio Mixing is so horrible that even on 30-40/100 in the audio volume. There are sounds that are loud enough to rupture your eardrums. Avoid it, watch a playthough.
I don't like the game. Why? 3 reasons: 1. Too dark. All parts in shadows are almost BLACK! (Apart from the fact that everything has brown & ocher colors.) There is a little green light you can use, but tiny light is only for few seconds. What a joke! Green light would be okay for night missions, BUT still...shadows are (unrealistic) too dark!!! 2. I do need more MED Pacs! Where are they? Feels unfair gameplay. 3. I do understand that it is a game were you need to hide behind cover... But then again, the enemy shows up so fast and shoots you before you can even see that there is one coming (or standing on the balcony). So the whole thing is very hard (like 2 shots and your are dead again!) visually bad and feels depressing and just makes you frustrated. 4. The level design is poor, there are many small dead ends. Many rooms that lead nowhere. (And i wonder, why is the door open anyway? For hidding in a dark brown room instead of playing the game and moving forward!? What a joke!) 5. The checkpoint saves are too unfair, not enough of them. 6. Again, it is sooo DARK. And the tiny green LED Flash light is a JOKE, it does not really lighten up, its kind of useless. Because of t…
I wanted to like this game, but it's just too bad... Don't bother.
When i was younger i really wanted to play this i honestly have no clue why this game is terrible when you have to spend about 20 minutes trying to get the control's to work i have had less problems playing mortal kombat on the keyboard also your character handles like a sack of potato's. DO NOT GET or do get if you want to gift something to somebody you do not like.
