RPG Maker strikes again! This is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel JRPG ripoffs spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets flipped from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club weeaboo fan fiction. Basically, these guys didn't make a game, they filled out a couple of templates in a construction kit then proudly called themselves "developers". Also, like all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The developer was honest enough to mention which assets they were flipping when they made this "game". Unlike the majority of RPG Maker asset flips, this uses sci-fi assets that someone else made instead of the typical fantasy assets that someone else made. There's a few simple boolean logic puzzles that do very little to make this asset flip any better than the rest. Don't take my word for it, though…5 found this helpful
I recognize most of the scenes in the preview and I've only played the game 6 minutes. Not excactly a good sign. I wasn't hooked at all, the combat and puzzle mechanics that were implemented felt unsatisfying. A lot of RPGMaker games are simply massproduced to try get as much money without making even a semi-decent game and this feels exactly like the case here.2 found this helpful
Cool premise, setting, and overall aesthetic that will appeal to computer and tech nerds. Level design is a little empty looking but considering the setting, it doesn't ruin the game.
